"Jay, have you found Nat?" Ranald kept asking, his voice the only thing buzzing in the sudden calm that had fallen over the entire room.
"I did," the Jester replied, ending the transmission. Nat couldn't see his face clearly, but she could feel the rage emanating from him. It was clear that Aiden's time was up.
Aiden's obnoxious laughter followed his provocation towards the Jester, "Hey! Mr. Hero! Are you a friend of Nat's? Going to save her and take MY NAT away from me? Please, don't do that, Sir."
"You did this to Nat?" The Jester asked, his voice seething with anger. Every word was laced with fury as he confronted Aiden.
Aiden announced his culpability with pride. "And I'll do the same to you, Mr. Hero," he threatened, brandishing his gun and opening fire on the Jester. The distance between them was short, making it easy for Aiden to take a shot and potentially kill the Jester,
Only if the bullet manages to kill.
The bullets pierced through the Jester's body, and he could feel the impact. The darkness within him whispered...
'More'
"The low-grade armor won't do you much, boy," Aiden taunted, continuing to fire his gun until he realized that the bullets were no longer penetrating the Jester's body. They were bouncing off his chest, leaving Aiden shocked and speechless.
The Jester's blue eyes emitted an aura that could only be felt when the mightiest predator enters the jungle, causing their prey to sense that survival is impossible. The predator's eyes lock onto its target, and the end of its prey is inevitable. The hunger is only satiated once the prey is fully devoured.
Aiden watched in disbelief as The Jester vanished from his sight, leaving only an afterimage in his wake. He fired his gun at the image, but to his shock, the bullets passed through it and out of the opening in the wall that had been broken down earlier.
"Let me help you, Nat," the Jester's voice was calm yet commanding as he appeared behind Aiden, who was still processing what had just happened. In one swift motion, the Jester picked up Nat and carried her to a corner of the room, away from the chaos.
Nat's voice was weak and broken as she turned to the Jester, "Can you bring me an armor? Any grade A type armour from here will do."
"Stay put, I'll fetch you an armor of your choice," The Jester said as he carefully positioned Nat against the wall.
Nat coughed weakly, but managed to give Jester a smirk.
Aiden was clueless about the magnitude of his opponent. He hurriedly reloaded his gun to fire more shots, but before he could even pull the trigger, the Jester had already materialized right in front of him.
"When did you get he-" Aiden began, but his sentence remained incomplete as the Jester punched him in the face. Aiden could feel his jaw shatter under the impact, which was stronger than anything he had ever experienced. Not even the manatel-infused bullets could exert such force.
Aiden's armor began to react immediately and went into full throttle, but the Jester's movements were even faster. He punched Aiden again, with even more force this time.
Aiden was sent hurtling through the air, colliding with the nearby wall with a tremendous impact. The force was so great that the wall near the door splintered and cracked upon impact. As Aiden's head hit the wall, blood began to flow, and his vision grew hazy. Although his body was rapidly regenerating, the damage inflicted upon him was too severe for his regeneration to keep up with.
As the Jester approached him, Aiden desperately attempted to plead for mercy. "Wait," he stammered out, "let me explain." However, his words were met with indifference as the Jester seemed unaffected by his pleas. Despite his injuries, Aiden managed to regain some of his composure by the time the Jester reached him.
Aiden struggled to stand on his feet, his legs wobbling under him. The blow he had received had caused him such shock that it seemed impossible to fully recover. He coughed up blood, his body still trying to mend the damage inflicted upon it. The Jester stood before him, cold and unfeeling, seeming to show no concern for Aiden's plight.
*boom*
The impact was so powerful that the wall gave way, and Aiden was sent crashing through to the other side. He lay flat on the ground, his body sprawled beside the corridor walls. The door had been destroyed by the sheer force of the blow. As a result, the security alarm was triggered, alerting King's guards to the disturbance. They quickly sprang into action, rushing towards the source of the commotion.
As blood trickled from his mouth, Aiden managed to choke out a final warning: "You'll regret this, Mr. Hero!"
The Jester's intense gaze left Aiden feeling vulnerable. As the guards burst into the room, fully armored and equipped with submachine guns, the atmosphere grew even more charged.
With his weapon raised, one of the guards barked out a commanding order to the Jester. "Drop your weapon, place your hands at the back of your head, and kneel down, now!"
"But I don't have any," the Jester replied calmly before displaying inhuman speed. In the blink of an eye, he stood directly in front of the guard who had issued the order. With a swift chop to the guard's shoulder, the man let out a bloodcurdling scream as the bones in his shoulder shattered. In a moment of sheer brutality, the Jester then smashed the guard's head against the wall, blood spattering everywhere as the screaming abruptly ceased.
Aiden was filled with horror and felt a cold shiver run down his spine. "What on earth is he?" he thought to himself as he watched in disbelief at the Jester's superhuman abilities. Meanwhile, the other guards opened fire, their weapons pointed directly at the Jester. But with seemingly little effort, the Jester picked up a small rock and flung it with deadly precision, striking one of the guards in the forehead with a critical hit. The guard crumpled to the ground, lifeless.
Aiden struggled to move, but found himself unable to do so. Despite wearing type A armor, it seemed slow to react to the damage his body had sustained. With a despairing click of his tongue, Aiden realized he was in serious trouble.
As more guards opened fire, the Jester remained unscathed, not even a scratch appearing on his body. With terrifying strength, he lunged at one of the guards and ripped his arm clean off, leaving the man screaming in agony on the ground
With a cold, menacing voice, the Jester addressed the guard who lay screaming in agony. "Can't regenerate anymore, can you?" Without waiting for a response, the Jester brought his foot down with brutal force, crushing the man's skull and silencing his screams forever.
As more guards flooded into the room, the Jester continued his rampage, delivering brutal punches and slicing through flesh with inhuman speed and precision. He punched a hole clean through one man's body and sliced it open, splitting it apart with ease. Limbs were torn from their sockets, screams of agony filled the air, and death was everywhere.
""Die, you monster!" one of the guards screamed, losing control as he emptied his entire clip at the Jester's face. But the Jester remained unaffected by the barrage of bullets, feeling nothing but a faint annoyance.
'Kill,' the darkness inside him ordered
The Jester continued his brutal assault, pummeling the guard with deadly force until the man's body gave out and he died. The impact of the Jester's blows caused the guard's guts to burst out of his body and splatter all over the floor, seeping through a crack in the ground.
One more down.
At this point, the Jester was covered in blood from his merciless attack, yet he had not yet turned his attention to Aiden.
The Jester's face remained expressionless as he mercilessly killed each guard who came at him, showing no emotion towards his victims.
'But it's important,' whispered the darkness within him.
The Jester nodded in yes.
The Jester stared at the trembling guard who aimed his sub machine gun. The guard emptied his clip, but the Manatel bullets were useless, bringing only helplessness to the guard's heart.
The Jester walked past Aiden and approached the guard standing nearby.
The guard was sweating profusely. Out of the many who had come in, he was the only one left standing. He realized that he couldn't win.
"Please, spare me. I'm only following orders," the last guard pleaded in desperation.
"Aren't we all just following the orders of our inevitable fates?" the Jester replied.
"Please, for God's sake! SPARE MY LIFE!!" the guard dropped his gun and knelt, even dropping his helmet and revealing his face, which had turned pale with fear. It was all he had to offer.
The Jester raised his leg at the pleading guard when suddenly, "Jay?", Nat shouted from inside the room, "What's going on??!!"
The Jester snapped back to his senses and looked around, examining his robe, which was now covered in blood, and his hand, which was soaked in it. He realized what he had done and looked at the guard's face, which was drowning in utter fear. Nat needed help right now, and he was there, wreaking havoc.
"I'll spare you but," the Jester paused after saying that.
"But what?!" the guard cried.
"Your armour, please," said the Jester.
"Wh-what?" stuttered the guard as he asked.
"I said, please give me your armour," the Jester made it clear to him.
"My armour?" the guard was confused with the sudden change of attitude of the Jester, but he willingly dropped his armour. He did it to save himself from an unpleasant death, of course. It was pretty thin to be considered armour, consisting only of a thin vest. But whatever it was, Nat needed it the most right now.
