Chereads / The Holy Chronicles of Baator / Chapter 441 - The Big not so Bad Bug

Chapter 441 - The Big not so Bad Bug

I looked closely at the Hivemind as I panted for breath. I had to admit that even with my current power and all boost spells from the Weissmann, who was doing his best to try to cast some buffs on me continuously and debuffs on me, the toll on my body was terrifying.

In terms of stamina and physical body, I was far from the qualities of the Hivemind where its whole physical body was specially genecrafted for the sole purpose of being a perfect killing machine, but fortunately for me, not even that was able to shrug of The End completely.

Unfortunately, I had to refrain from using the Ruination aspect of my Arcane Seal because I needed his body in some shape for further research and Ruination would practically devastate it entirely, to the point that it would become useless.

So even though I was technically risking my life a bit, in my opinion, it was worth it.

I readied my Mystic Code Atiesh, once more lunging at the Hivemind and slashing at the Hivemind's claws, sparks appearing in the emptiness of the space from the slash, as the blood spluttered when I severed another of the Hivemind's claw.

Instantly barraging the Hivemind with another wave of the Nuclear Magic Rule Beams as it blasted off the Hivemind several hundreds of kilometers away.

The big bug was sent flying, directly crashing onto the walls of the barrier as the entire barrier shook a bit.

The Hivemind was shrieking from the pain, as it was trying to defend against the highly destructive Nuclear Beams helplessly, but to no vail.

Blood started flowing from the corners of my mouth as I was using all of my capabilities to their very maximum, hoping to finish the Hivemind finally.

In a split of a second, I felt that I had become one of the Baator, and I used the might of a Grade 1 Plane in full out attack, as I sent a tremendously large and powerful Nuclear Magic Rule Beam, which contained the attacking power of the entire Grade 1 Plane at the Hivemind, targeting its head.

The Hivemind, who had just recovered from the barrage of the weaker attacks, didn't have time to react, as his head was blasted apart, killed in one hit, essentially destroying its brain, where the core of the Hivemind was located.

With the brain which contained the core was destroyed, the Hivemind was killed and all of its bugs either started wreaking havoc, and the stronger ones were already escaping from their position, hoping to make it to the Endless Void or to hide somewhere in the Astral Boundary Universe.

"The big bug was not so bad in the end."

The Void Insect Swarm was finished, as I collapsed and my consciousness was leaving my body. I started closing my eyes, letting myself fly into the emptiness of space as everything went dark with my words leaving my mouth.

3rd POV.

Across the entire Astral Boundary Universe, all of the Bioships belonging to the Void Insect Swarm suddenly stopped in their path, while the bugs and insects, either across the Bioships or those spread in countless planes in the entire Universe, suddenly went inactive as they just stopped in their tracks and did nothing.

Everybody looked at the phenomenon in wonder; nobody knew what was happening and only some more knowledgable individuals or those in power who were aware of the ongoing fight between the Father of All Devils and the Hivemind of the Void Insect Swarm knew that the fight has ended.

And the Father of All Devils came out victorious when he killed the Hivemind. And thus, seconds went by, followed by minutes and soon hours, as the bugs remained inactive as another shadow war was happening in the background.

The second when the Hivemind was killed and the most primal connection between the Hivemind and its Swarm was severed, the remaining Tier 11 Bugs started fighting among themselves for the superiority and control of what remained from the Swarm.

Apprxomateyyl after six hours of inactivity, during which the more defenseless parts of the Swarm were exterminated by the people who fought them, especially in the Ancient Eternal Star Region, where the armadas of the Chthonian Empire and Dresden Arcanum Empire fiercely attacked the inactive fleets of Bioships of Swarm.

Aside from that, in the list of casualties of the Swarm were several Tier 11 Bugs who were at the time in the Ancient Eternal Star Region, where they were killed by the experts of two Empire, together with Tier 11s from the Divine Blood Plane and Dragon's Nest.

The remains of the Swarm either dispersed, attempting to return back to the Endless Void, or some chose to hide in some forsaken parts of the Astral Boundary Universe, as there were countless locations that were pretty suitable to become their hiding place.

Right now, a time of unprecedented piece and disturbing calmness returned back to the entire Universe, as the Void Insect Swarm essentially annihilated the Divine Star Region, where all of the Myriad God Emperors were killed.

Ancient Eternal Star Region was as good as finished when the three hegemonial species collapsed, and hidden Tiere 12 experts disappeared into thin air.

While this may seem good for certain people, this also meant that the entire Astral Boundary Universe was drastically weakened because countless Tier 11 experts were killed, an unprecedented amount of Tier 10s perished, and even many of Tier 12 were either killed or escaped the Universe.

And this meant a single thing, with the Psionic Beacon that lured here the Hivemind from the Endless Void creating a safe passage, still active, it meant that more of such entities would come.

Be it other Swarms, Void Lifeforms and experts that were wandering the Endless Void in search of resources.

While the battle was won, the Astral Boundary lost the war because the damage to the Universe was far more than anybody could predict.

Be it a combination of bad luck, the ambitions of certain people or greed of others.
