The 9th Layer of the Baator Nessus, the City of Gralea, Magisterium of Arcanotechniology.
The City of Gralea, for centuries, has been Empire's heart when it came to the Arcanotech and its advancement. In the Gralea, most of the scientific breakthroughs were made, and all foreign technology or magical technology was reverse-engineered after being captured by the Imperial Forces.
"How is it, Ajuka?"
Asked Sirzechs, his best friend, as they were conducting experiments on the Dawn Pillars that were transported back to the Empire. In the end, they managed to obtain two whole Dawn Pillars and had data from all of them, how they worked and how they affected the Planar Will.
"Fascinating. Absolutely fascinating."
Muttered Ajuka as Mephisto Pheles, Magister of the Arcane and Magic Research, stood next to him as they watched data collected when the Dawn Pillars were working.
"How fascinating exactly?"
Said Sirzechs curiously, as, from his point of view, they were just giant pieces of rock and metal patched together and inscribed with some weird runes.
"This... basically, you take several of these pillars and place them at the strongest leylines points. After you activate them, they will create a Pillar Network that will, over time, suppress the Planar Will and start assimilating its consciousness and taking from it the aspect of control over the Plane, transferring the control over the Plane to a person who is registered as an Owner. From what we saw, with some adjustments, these Pillars should be able to achieve a similar effect even if placed on a Grade 1 Plane with some time."
Ajuka couldn't hide his excitement as he was talking about the Dawn Pillars. They were indeed one of the marvels of Aranotech and engineering.
"How much time?"
If that was the truth, they could use these pillars in their future conquest of stronger planes and strong worlds. The Dawn Lord was indeed a genius if he managed to create something so advanced such as the Dawn Pillars.
"We will see, but if we do some tweaks and adjustments and combine this technology with that of the Baator, we could probably create a stronger type of Pillar with an incubation time of around a few months for the Grade 1 Plane."
Now that would be a splendid achievement, as there were already talks in the branches of the Military on how to approach the inevitable invasion of the Canghzi Plane, which would be very well defended, as they already got information that Six Imperial Courts started fortifying the Canghzi Plane with everything they got, and they even start building the Crystal Wall, which was pretty problematic by itself.
Fortunately, they had a way to overcome the Crystal Wall, which is considered as "Ultimate World Defense", because, during the time when Abraxas was running wild at the Canghzi Plane, he hid in several places across the Canghzi Plane, Planar Disruptors, which were special devices created for a single purpose and that was the destabilization of the Plane, which would allow them to destroy the Crystal Wall from the inside with pushing just one button.
Fortunately, because Warlocks were arrogant and impatient buch, they checked only a few locations where Abraxas had been, mainly searching his outpost at the Turandot Subcontinent, but that was all.
"With these things, we can lower our awaited loses during the invasion of the Canghzi by at least 70%."
Stated Sirzechs seriously, as having control over the Plane was crucial. One of the reasons why their father was basically unbeatable in the Baator was in the end, even if he was losing, he could just push the might of an entire plane at his enemies, effectively crushing them to death.
Additionally, their own forces would receive a significant boost to their power from the Plane, while their enemies would receive fierce suppression.
Suppose they used these Dawn Pillars in the Canghzi Plane and defended them as turtles until they were activated. In that case, they could successfully steal the control over the Plane and then just rush through the entire plane.
Any advantage gained during the Planar Conquest could decide the outcome of the battle and the whole war.
"How long till you will have it completed?"
This project right in the second became one of the most important ongoing operations in the Empire.
"Probably half a year, if not year. This technology is advanced, so we will need to break it down and rebuild it from scratch completely."
One year was good enough, as Sirzechs nodded at Ajuka's statement as he departed to meet Rias to discuss the development of the Ecclesiarchy as some important people in the Empire practiced the Godhood Method, and ascended as Gods, so as to faster increase their power; it would be productive to gather some Power of Faith for them.
The Ecclesiarchal Palace was located near the Imperial Palace, but it was still a good distance as the Holy Imperial Capital was huge.
After Sirzechs arrived at the Ecclesiarchal Palace, he was quickly led in by some Cardinals who were already waiting for him, all of them being Tier 8 powerhouses and very strong ones; some of them were on the verge of reaching a Tier 9 after some time.
It was apparent that many of them obtained a ton of blessings from their Gods, and Sirzechs felt that his father and Aunt Hela personally blessed several of them.
Rias was made Ecclesiarch of the Ecclesiarchy several centuries ago, as he had a good talent for manipulating people, and her administration skills also evolved to a higher level after managing some smaller organizations and territories.
Nowadays, the Ecclesiarchy encompassed all religions within the Baator and the gods who were worshipped collectively called the Baatorian Pantheon. Most notable being his father as the Father of All Devils, then Aunt Hela, who was worshipped as the Black Empress of Death, and Alucard and Brunestud as Twin Blood Gods.
Of course, there were some more people who had just now started practicing the Godhood Method and didn't need now collect Faith.
