Chapter 357 - Last Inheritance Vault

1 Day Later, the Imperial Capital of the Sacred Millenial Empire, the Imperial Palace.

Yesterday the conquest of the Noscent Plane officially ended. Even though there still remained some individual resistance groups with some natives that were still fighting the invading forces of the Chthonian Empire, but they were of no importance.

I was currently enjoying my time with Venelana in the Emperor's quarters while Hela was having her time as she was torturing the Emperor of was formerly existing Sacred Millenial Empire. Because Hela was an expert interrogator and torturer, soon enough, he would be spilling everything he knew, including the location of the Inheritance Vault.

Imperial City was being cleaned by the Imperialis Militarum and taken apart by the Mechanical Legions of the Chthonian Empire. The heavy majority, if not all of the local population of the Imperial City of the Sacred Millenial Empire was killed during the siege, and those who were not killed, were rounded up and executed right now, or those stronger were eaten alive by dragons, as dragons loved eating strong people, it was a delicacy for them.

I already sent several Tier 9 experts with extensive magic knowledge to lay down refiníng formation so the Baator could effectively absorb the Noscent Plane and evolve to a higher level, even though I doubted it would happen, as the Primary Grade 2 Plane was not enough for the Baator to evolve to the Grade 1, but I hoped it would evolve to the Primary Grade 2 Plane from the current level of Secondary Grade 2 Plane.

After several hours, it was as expected, no one could continue to though under Hela's tender care, and soon enough, we had the location of the Inheritance Vault of the pinnacle Tier 12 powerhouse. After the uses of Charles the Great passed, Hela left him for the Three-Headed Golden Dragon Tribe to deal with.

They would probably chop him apart and eat him. As a Transcendental Level powerhouse, his body was highly nutritious for species like dragons, who can get stronger by eating powerful lifeforms to become stronger.

I departed instantly after getting the location of the Inheritance Vault, so I could unlock it as soon as possible to obtain its resources.

Surprisingly the Inheritance Vault was located deep under the Imperial Palace. Under the Imperial Place, there was a very extensive cave system that reached extremely deep, almost reaching the Planar Core itself.

Somewhere in that endless labyrinth of corridors, paths, and caves, in some random part of it, the Inheritance Vault was located. Charles the Great found the Inheritance Vault by accident when they attempted to map the cave system.

I quickly located the Inheritance Vault and arrived before the Vault Gates within ten minutes. The gate was even bigger than that of the one which I found after killing the Barbarian King.

I entered the place without any difficulties, as I knew the method from the previous one. However, this one was a bit different, as the barriers surrounding the gates and runes powering them were a bit stronger, probably because it was the main Inheritance Vault with more treasures and riches.

After I opened the Gates, I released the specialized drones that were doing their job in fast scanning the entire Vault and its content for better organization and transportation.

I spread my senses through the entire Vault and sensed for anything that had a Void Aura, and I quickly located several perfectly preserved body parts of the Void Lifeforms. Some of them had heard of the Void Beasts.

I scrutinized them for a bit before I directly used Devour on them and absorbed them to boost up my newly acquired void bloodline.

[Unknwon Void Beast Bloodline has been identified as Void Leviathan.]

[Concept of Void increased by 5%]

I heard the Architect's voice in my head.

Instantly as the comprehension of the Concept of Void crossed the 10%, which was unthinkable but somehow understandable, as all body parts of the Void Lifeforms were from the strongest bloodlines, and apparently, their affinity for the void was so high, they managed to touch the concept.

Also, this meant that they must be from the Tier 11 or Tier 12 Void Lifeforms, maybe even from Tier 13.

I then continued inspecting the Inheritance Vault for something that could be of use to me. I found several Soul Treasures that can increase their user's Soul Aptitude. I used one to upgrade my Soul Aptitude to Level 10 Superior and left the rest for my family members as they would need it currently more than I do.

Not that they would be able to increase my Soul Aptitude to Level 11.

Aside from that, the most valuable thing in this entire Vault were probably several tens of books, each one carefully describing various power systems, even those outside of the Astral Boundary Universe, and how to incorporate certain aspects of them into one another.

Also, there was instruction on reaching the Exarch-rank and how to condense the strongest Arcane Crest for the Arcanists, which was a priceless treasure just by itself. Currently, only Khaziklu Bey held this knowledge, and he wouldn't share it with anybody as it was too priceless.

With my speed, it would take me only a few centuries to hit the limits of the Lord-Class, and afterward, I would need to think about how to break through to the Exarchy. This information I obtained right now would be of the utmost importance later on, not for me, but for all powerhouses in the Baator, many millennia later.
