POV Grayfia
For the past 2,500 years, our species have changed a lot. From the small and insignificant place called Underworld, where Devils had barely one Super Devil before the war, we now stood as the behemoth faction, even mighty in the Astral Boundary.
Right now, the Chthonian Empire of the Baator was a strong faction that spread terror and dread across the entire Astral Boundary Universe.
As most of the Tier 11 Powerhouses were indisposed, Chthonian Empire was currently one of the strongest factions.
When my beloved husband would reach Tier 11, there would be no solid reason for fear, even those like Warlock Dynasties.
In the current Empire, there were already several people on the verge of breaking through to Tier 11, namely Hela, Elder Zekram, and Architect. If all three of them reached it, we would have 4 Tier 11 powerhouses, which would most significantly increase the power of the Chthonian Empire.
Especially in the future clash against Warlocks, Myriad God Emperors, or those of the Eternal Star Region, which has been unusually silent for past millennia.
For more than 2,500 years, I have been observing the growth of our Empire and served as the High Chancellor of the Senatorum Imperialis and the Chthonian Empire of the Baator. At the end of the day, I enjoyed my job, and truthfully, even though there were some times I wanted to retire, I have always decided against it.
Mainly because there was a lack of a suitable successor among the Imperial House, as some positions of utmost importance may be held only by skilled and powerful members of the Imperial House of Lucifer.
Unfortunately, my daughter was not suitable for a position in high-level politics with her highly militaristic and aggressive approach, and her job as Commissar-General of the Commissariat suited her more.
I even heard rumors that Hela planned to retire from her position as Lord High Marshall of the Imperialis Militarum in favor of her daughter Sigurn. The latter was, by her words, ready to take over the mantle.
And same could be said about Venelana, who was also grooming a suitable successor for the CEO of the IMC, the Interdimensional Manufacturing Corporation. In the end, she chose one of the Vali's wives, Latia Astaroth, who proved to be skilled in terms of economics, trade, and business.
IMC was crucial in trading with other factions, so it needed a trustworthy and competent member of the Imperial House to manage it.
As I was in my office and pondering about what to do next, suddenly, doors opened, and Sigmar entered my office without any previous announcement.
"Aunt Grayfia, I bring you a report."
I sighed, but at least he is not as loud and barbaric as he was several thousand years ago. Apparently, Yasaka did wonders on him.
"What happened?"
I questioned him, as Sigmar wouldn't bother to annoy me as I would always scold him for irresponsible and inappropriate behavior, and this time, I was already preparing my monologue in my mind.
"Nephew Abrasax sent me a message that they have isolated several Holy Spirit Hellions. Among them were even three Quasi-Empyrean Hellions and prepared them for transport to the Baator. Additionally, they are requesting further order on what to do in regard to the Canghzi Plane, as they have been noticed by local Warlocks and probably even Warlock Imperial Courts."
Summarized Sigmar, while I frowned partly hearing this.
Though it may sound like a piece of good news, obtaining these Hellions would probably make Ajuka, Mephisto, and Zeo jump in joy; the fact that they have been noticed by Warlocks is not good.
"Did you inform your brother about this?"
At my question, he nodded.
"What did Sirzechs say?"
I questioned him.
"Hide Dimensional Stones deep within an underground world, take as many resources as possible, and retreat back to the Baator. Sirzechs stated even though; Warlocks suffered greatly under our trap with Arcanists, it is dangerous to preserve our forces in their backyard. Suppose they found out that the direct descendant of the Imperial Hosue is there. In that case, it is highly possible they would send several Holy Spirit Warlocks to capture Abrasax."
Hearing this, I agreed with this statement wholeheartedly.
"Indeed, Sirzechs is right. This is the correct course of action. Now that Warlocks are aware of the power of the Chthonian Empire, and especially after Zeo banished Warlock Emperor, they want revenge, and it is only a matter of time before they aim their attention on the Canghzi Plane. From reports of the Department of Intelligence and Execution Temple, Warlocks have hastened the pace of unsealing of the Core World."
I stated to this topic.
"I admit that fighting warlocks now is not rational... wait until father, mother, and grandpa reach Lord-Class... then we can slaughter them like chickens."
Grinned Sigmar with a bloodthirsty grin.
"That is still in the future; right now, control yourself and go and prepare everything for the successful evacuation from the Canghzi Plane. We need to have those Hellions and our people safe in the Empire. And be extra careful with those Hellions... even though they are asleep and sealed, their power is still overwhelming and could cause a lot of problems if mishandled."
I stated sternly to Sigmar, who just nodded defeatedly.
