Chapter 337 - Cavalry Arrives

After Vena got bored from watching her TV Show, she decided it was time for another round of our duty as husband and wife, instantly after Hela went to check on some things, as she wanted to get ahead of her.

Even though we have been married for almost 3,000 years, nothing between us has really changed. Love was one of the most mysterious things that I had never understood completely. I only knew that I wouldn't be able to live without my wives, and I would do everything in my power and abilities to protect them from danger.

My wife still competed with each other, but at least they stopped outright fighting against each other; that was only sometimes. The fighting stopped mainly due to the presence of Bibi Dong, who was the weakest among them, as she was only technically at a level of a Super Devil due to the uniqueness of her power system.

Just as we were to go to do our thing, I was practically cockblocked by my own Holo-Brain, as I received a message from the Lord Admiral that we were already at the Noscetn Plane, and we would be entering the place through the dimensional gate generated through the Dimensional Beacon.

"Shit..."

I cursed as Vena giggled slightly as she kissed me.

"We can always continue later... my love."

She whispered into my ears as I begrudgingly nodded in agreement as I clad myself in my armor and left my quarters for the Command Center.

Above the Noscent Plane, which was a sealed plane, an enormous dimensional crack appeared through which all of our Voidships slowly entered the Noscent and landed at the place where the Vanguard Forces created their fortifications.

When I exited the capital ship together with Venelana and Hela, Zekram was already there waiting for us, together with Ddraig and Vali.

"You arrived exactly at the time; soon enough, natives would be launching an offensive at this place."

I nodded as I instantly sent several messages through my Holo-Brain for Generals of the Imperialis Militarum and members of the Mechanicum to move as fast as possible and prepare for the incoming attacks.

"Who is attacking?"

Asked Hela with anticipation as she had her expression 'I wanna kill something already' over her face.

"Some forces of the Barbarian King. One of the hegemons of the Noscent. Together with that other man who led the rebellion of humans, Charles the Great, he is one of the strongest powerhouses on the Noscent. Currently, we are located on the outskirts of the Noscent Plane. After we arrived, there was a strong presence of the Barbarian Tribes here, and after Vali and his Khaos Brigade annihilated them, it probably alerted the Barbarian King, so he sent a large portion of his army to attack us. We could anticipate the same from Charles the Great."

Summarized Zekrma our current situation, not that I truly cared about intervening in it. This invasion had basically several top powerhouses in the form of Zekram, Venelana and Hela. I was here just as a backup and to reach Lord-Class as I searched the enlightenment for my breakthrough to the Lord-Class.

And I felt that it would happen on the Noscebnt. At least by my calculation with the usage of the Fate Algorithm, it has approximately of 58%, which was a high number for me not to ignore the calculation.

"I will go and try to capture one of those Transcendentals for further research. Based on data from your fight, I can conclude it is an artificial stage; that is the reason why they are practically that weak."

I stated while Zekram nodded, and Hela went to do her things with the Imperialis Militarum and Arch-Magoses of the Mechanicum.

Meanwhile, Venelana remained and started hounding poor Vali about when he will have children. Among my children, only Vali, Renxue, and Rias were without progeny. Renxue was too young, while RIas and Vali were married to each other, but it didn't appear either of them had such plans, which made Vena very unhappy.

And unhappy Vena was a terrifying one, even more than angry Hela.

I went to do my things and research the magic resistance of the Barbrains.

In truth, it was fascinating.

Across the entire Astral Boundary, there weren't many races with innate magic resistance across the Astral Boundary, not to mention such strong and high ones as the Barbarian race on the Noscent. It was a rare occasion to meet species with any kind of energy type resistance, even in other universes.

I wanted to research the entirety of the Barbarian species and see if I could extract their magic resistance genome and integrate it into that of Devils, which would further boost our might.

As Father of All Devils, I need to integrate it into myself, and the effect would show itself on all members of my species.

Fortunately, Vali kept some of the Barbarians alive, and there were enough of them for extensive research. Though I was sure I would need to dissect the so-called Barbarian King to achieve my goal. If my guess is correct, he is bearing the bloodline source of their entire species, which would allow me to completely decipher the genome of the barbarian race and uncover secrets of their magic resistance.

After several hours, I had dissected around twenty barbarians, most of them were warriors, so healthy men and women, though to properly observe the development of their magic resistance and their genome, I needed to experiment with pregnant women and newly birthed children.

I ran some tests on death row prisoners I brought from the Empire, but unfortunately, every attempt ended in colossal failure. Each time I tried to integrate Barbarian Magic Resistance Genome into a Devil's DNA, it would crumble away the moment it entered the subject's body.

Even if it entered safely, it would usually not survive for more than five minutes before crumbly away in the subject's body, along with the subject's original DNA, so I lost three prisoners.
