Yu Huiyin went to the bedroom once more. She was wearing casual clothes now as she had been walking around the house. But now she had to leave the manor soon, and she could not wear these clothes at the restaurant when meeting with Xu Nanfeng.
Xie Jingyu was in the study. He had dismissed Hui Liqiang so that he could get ready to leave the manor alongside Yu Huiyin, and he was in deep thought.
He felt suffocated. He felt so uncomfortable that someone had made a move against his Huiyin and being unable to return the favor.
Xie Jingyu had sent Hui Liqiang to prepare himself so that he would be ready to go with Yu Huiyin when she left, and he was now seated alone in the study, unsure about what to do.
Yu Huiyin got ready to leave, and as she left, Xie Jingyu followed her figure through the window of the study. He saw her exiting the manor and walking down the steps, before entering the van that Xie Jingyu had prepared for her.
Hui Liqiang was the designated driver and the bodyguard. He was aware that, although it sounded like a demotion from his previous illustrious job as a top figure within the gang, but this was proof that he was much more trusted than most of the others, and that the task was immensely important.
He did not feel degraded at all for having to run after a young woman, because this young woman was his madam.
But he was a little worried. He understood Bai Lian's affection towards their boss, but was she going to accept that he, who usually was so cold and untouchable, would suddenly be married?
Even he found it hard to believe when he saw the innocent and gentle demeanor of Xie Jingyu, a side of his that they had never seen before.
He could imagine that his most ardent fangirl would be shocked beyond belief too.
Trying to get away from his thoughts, Hui Liqiang once again focused on driving, and from time to time, observed her through the rear-view mirror.
As they arrived at the Restaurant, Hui Liqiang handed the car over to the parking valet and followed Yu Huiyin.
As they entered the restaurant, Yu Huiyin saw that Xu Nanfeng was already waiting for her. He was seriously reading through a document, and his eyes focused as he stood to the side.
"What can I do for you?" the manager asked as he stepped forward to greet Yu Huiyin and Hui Liqiang. He could, at once, see that their appearance was out of the ordinary.
"Nanfeng," Yu Huiyin called out, and Xu Nanfeng turned around, only to see that it was Yu Huiyin. A smile blossomed on his lips as he stepped towards them.
The manager was shocked to find that these three were together. Xu Nanfeng had arrived a few moments earlier and had said that his companion would make it later, it seemed that it was not just an excuse.
"My name is Yu Huiyin, I have booked a private room," she said as she looked at the manager who quickly looked into the book of reservations, and found her name.
"We have indeed prepared a room for you, please follow me and I will guide you to the room. Inside the room you will find the menus and you can ring the bell on the table when you are ready to order. "
Both Yu Huiyin and Xu Nanfeng nodded their heads at the same time in acknowledgement. He was happy since he did not have to worry about paying for the meal; he could eat to his heart's content.
As they entered the room, Xu Nanfeng took out the papers from his pocket and gave them to Yu Huiyin.
Looking at them, she found that Xu Nanfeng had been busy. His business, Falling Stars Gaming Company, had already been registered, and now she was looking at the transfer of shares.
Fifty-one percent to her, forty-nine percent to him. Seeing this, she frowned. Had they not agreed on going fifty-fifty? Why would she suddenly get the majority of the shares?
Sensing her confusion, Xu Nanfeng laughed. "I know what you are thinking. Although you are only throwing money into this firm, I believe you should be it's boss.
"I know about you and your background. You are starting to fight back against that scum father of yours, and even if you are the co-owner of Falling Stars Gaming Company, you will not be able to have the same authority as when people know that you are the owner behind the company."
Yu Huiyin felt moved when she heard Xu Nanfeng's words, but even so, she still read through the contract a few times before signing it.
Sensing her cautiousness, Xu Nanfeng was feeling puzzled. It was as if she was directly scared of contracts.
Seeing his expression, Yu Huiyin felt slightly embarrassed, but she still decided to be clear with him.
"Okay, since we are partners from now onwards, I better tell you about the one backing me."
Xu Nanfeng had been waiting for this. He had known that she had a strong backer, but who it was and why he had appeared, he had no idea.
"Not long ago, I saved a man from an assassination attempt," Yu Huiyin said with a sigh. "He offered me a job and I accepted it. Unfortunately, this job was to be his wife, and I unknowingly signed the contract.
"The breach of contract is ten million dollars. Not yuan, but dollars. I cannot afford it, so my only option is to be his wife for now. He is a gentleman and would never do anything wrong against me, and I also get paid a decent allowance every month."
"Wait... You got married?!" Xu Nanfeng was so shocked that he choked on his wine and started coughing uncontrollably.
