Before I went to my smiting area, I took out my noble attire because it will interfere with the smiting process.
Looking at me took off my clothes and exposed my slender body but full only muscle, the spectator started to get surprised while Bardur just gave me scoff.
I didn't bother with their reaction and plan about the thing that I am going to make. Since the material is only made from iron ore, I didn't plan to use this armor as it is probably useless for me in the long term.
Then, I decided to just use the small techniques to win this showdown. However, little did I know that this technique is already ten times more advanced than this world smiting technique.
We both focus on our own work. One hour later, Bardur already finished refining his ore and began hammering down his metal while I kept refining my ore.
After two hours from the beginning of the showdown, Bardur's armor begins to take shape. As for me, I just keep refining the iron ore. The guild master also nervously looked at me while my brother got impatient too but they still thrust in me.
Half an hour later, Bardur's armor is complete and done. He flaunts that this is one of his best masterpieces while the other dwarf also admires his work.
Then, he provoked and insulted me once again, "See everyone, he can't even stand the heat of melting ore and is too scared to get near it."
"How about you forfeit the showdown before wasting more of our time and pay your bet off?" He keeps provoking me since I just keep the ore at the furnace for a long time.
I sigh, "It seems this is already the maximum heat it can produce. If I know this from the start I will not wait for this long." As I sigh and produce a spell diagram below the furnace.
The spell that I use is called [2nd star - hellfire]. My original spell that can produce superheat fire at 2000 degrees Celsius and contain inside it.
Burned by such a spell the furnace starts cracking and breaking apart. Before it breaks apart, I take out the liquefied iron and cancel the spell.
The technique that I use is simple molding technique like molding glass however normal people can't do this since it needs direct touch against the 2000 degrees liquefied iron.
My body is already immune to this kind of heat from the super soldier training program and continues being hammered down by fire energy from teacher Gene.
As soon as I take off the liquefied iron, I pour them immediately in cold water and mold it into armor at inhuman speed. After molding it, I put it back in the furnace while using my hellfire spell again.
Few minutes later, I took out the glittering red armor from the furnace and put it in the cold water again.
After letting it cool down a little bit, I present it to them as my product. All of this happens in just 15-minute time which gives a surprised look from the audience.
The guild master and the oldest dwarf immediately inspect both of our work. At this moment, they had a surprise expression and looked at each other.
Without hesitation they announced I won this showdown. My brothers cheers while every single spectator disbelieves.
"What, that's impossible, how can he win? He just took out a hot armor and put it on the cold water. It is already a miracle that the armor does not break apart." As Bardur complained.
Then, the oldest dwarf responded, "Bardur, if you don't believe with our judgement, then why don't you inspect this boy armor by yourself."
Bardur approached and inspected my elegant design with many decoration armor. The armor looks very beautiful, smooth, and glossy in the eye. Even Bardur admired this beautiful artwork, but he still wasn't satisfied if he lost just because of this.
At this instant, he rubs his eyes while saying, "Im.. Impossible... how can it be? A level 3 grade armor made only from Iron ore?" as he shouted the later part.
The other dwarf immediately came close to inspecting my armors. Their expression also shocks because it was a genuine level 3 grade armor.
They touch the armor and search for the possibility of another material mix in the armor. However, at this instant Bardur took his axe and hammering down toward my armor. BAANNGG… Crackk..
Bardur's axe broke apart while the armor was still intact without a scratch or dent. This makes every one more disbelieve of such an event especially the group of the dwarf.
They know Bardur's axe is a special level 2 grade weapon that, combined with his mighty strength, can penetrate level 3 armor.
Looking at this phenomena, Bardur immediately kneels in front of me, "Boy, you are right about my blacksmith technique is a lousy and thrash."
"I admit my defeat of this duel. Please forgive my rudeness from before?" while he bows his head. The other dwarf also kneel and bow while also asking for their rudeness.
Dwarf race is a prideful race despite their small build. They are famous to never kneel and bow to someone even beaten to death. They will only kneel and bow because they think they are worthy.
Once you got a kneel and bow from a dwarf means you got accepted as their friend. The dwarf race is rumored to always help their friend even if they need to go war with another kingdom just to help their friend.
I feel it will create another headache problem if other people look at a group of high leveled dwarf kneels and bow in front of the kid.
I told them to stand up. "Well, let's keep that one in the past. Now, look at the time, it's already this late."
"Don't you think this showdown is wasting my time a lot? Why don't you all just compensate me with 100 gold each and we call it even. Also don't forget about my bet will you." As I extort them more.
I was not so kind to people who can forgive people easily. Especially to the one that almost nearly killed me by insulting my pride. I already give enough face to them to keep their clothes.
"Well, if I extort them more I feel probably I will awaken Greed right now." As I thought while collecting my 100 gold from each of them.
They grumpily give their money as being stared from Bardur. It seems Bardur has more prestige among them.
As for Bardur himself, his character turned 180 degrees and respected me a lot while asking about my technique that I used to make the armor. Luckily, the guild master helped me with a question for the guild to buy my armor from me and store it in the guild store display.
For them the armor seems worth a lot, but for me it is just a thrash that I could make anytime so I agree as I need some money right now.
First, he offered 50 white gold coins for the armor. But, I negotiated with him for 100 white gold coins as I already know the market price for super rare grade armor is around that.
After a lot of negotiation, I finally decided to sell him an 85 white gold coin with some of the privilege from the guild blacksmith.
After the negotiation is done, the guild master goes to his office to prepare the necessary document for my certification and money for the armor. During this time, the group of dwarves have their own discussion and get more restless.
Then, Bardur suddenly approached me, "My dear friend Yosep, actually we are in a difficult situation. The dwarf community in the Rosewood kingdom got a task to build a weapon in level 4 grade as a gift for the crown prince of the Rosewood kingdom."
"However, we dwarf communities in the Rosewood kingdom don't have people that can make a unique weapon." In his sad tone.
He continues, "Our Ironhead clan as the being the best blacksmith in the Rosewood kingdom is being handed over to complete this task. We already try many possible methods to make the level 4 weapon but all of them failed."
"The reason we go to a blacksmith guild base in the capital is to look for a person that can forge a unique weapon."
"However, after we inquire more about it, there is no such person. We started to feel despair as if we can't complete the task our dwarf race will be prosecuted and will lose our standing in the Rosewood kingdom." As he sighs further at their current situation
"So, young friend, looking at your unbelievable technique of making such an armor. Can you help us try to forge this level 4 weapon? I know this is an absurd request but, we are desperately in need of every help we can get."
"The dwarf community from the Rosewood kingdom will forever be in your debt if you can help us." He pleaded while bowing again.
"Actually, it is possible for me to produce such a weapon. However, what's I get if I do this to you? Don't tell me it's just you own me a favor?"
"As a prestige blacksmith such as yourselves you already know that there is a huge difference between level 4 weapon and level 3 weapon. Also, favor is not going to be worth my effort." I said while in evil greedy mode.
"What?? you can truly make it. S-So, what exactly do you want?" he already believes me that I can produce the weapon.
"I need money. A lot of money." I answer with ambiguity.
"If it's about money we will pay, so don't..." before he finishes his sentence.
"You don't understand. You said it yourself about the difficulty of making level 4 weapons. No amount of money will be worth my effort."
"I need a lot of money but, I also don't need it right now. I will need it when I feel I need to use it." As my response confused him more.
