After the incident Fritz was taken to an office where the Colonel had a briefing from him. The colonel said he was called Richtofen and asked what had happened prior to the incident. Fritz didn't think what he did was wrong as he was only punishing insubordinates. He believed he was right to do that as he was in command of them yet they showed no obedience or any sign of following orders. Fritz explained to Richtofen that the two recruits had, on multiple occasions, refused to follow orders and that their attitude to training was terrible. In Fritz's eyes the way he was about to deal with them was the best way and most efficient way to sort them out. Although what Fritz was about to do was within protocol, Richtofen knew something that Fritz didn't and that was that a large scale war would soon take place. The Reich needed as many soldiers as possible to fight against it's enemies. Currently the tension was growing in a exceptionally high rate, especially with the Republic of Franks as both nations have animosity with each other. The animosity was open to the public but the growth of the tension was only known by few officers. The people wanted war, to rid themselves of the other powers, but the country needed more time to prepare. Otherwise the Reich would be destroyed and its people slaughtered.
Richtofen has to explain it to Fritz that every soldier was needed even if they were undesirable. The Reich was on the brink of war and they had no time to rid themselves of recruits like those two. Even though this was being explained to Fritz, he did not like the idea of letting them get away with the insubordination. But seeing as he wanted s comfortable positions in strategic hq he had to rethink his decision.
Colonel Richtofen decided that even if Fritz is a upcoming ace he needed to be punished. Fritz's face contorted into a face that would send chills through somebodys spine, when the colonel saw this he immediately stood up, sweat dripping down the side of his face. He had never seen something as terrifying as this, he was convinced he was trying to reprimand a monster... A devil. Fritz was confused as to why he should be punishmed even though he was doing his duty. In addition to the fact that if he tried to speak back he'd go out of line, and he can kiss his future of peace goodbye. Because of this he had to stay quite, though he didn't realise that his face expression had changed. He hadn't noticed it until the colonel stood up in shock. Fritz was suprised by this as he hadn't expected to see someone of a high position look so scared, he was slightly amused. But his anger was tremendous.
Colonel Richtofen decided that Fritz was to be stripped of his position of being in charge of a group of recruits and forced to work just like everyone else on the base. This was also to serve as an example to other officers, Everything the colonel did had a reason behind it, much like Fritz, although Richtofen was also extremely weary of situations. Fritz disliked the colonel but could understand his motives, both wanted peace but for different reasons. This was evident as one pretended to be patriotic while the other simply was. Fritz doesn't really care about what happens to others as long as he gets what he wants because of this in his old world he didn't really have any friends, and those he did were only really tools to him and this continued into this world, he would use anyone he thought was useful just so he could prove the so-called god wrong and live a long peaceful life.
