Jacob looked at the girl, who was leaving the room, carrying a pen and a note pad in her hand. "Did she even hear me?"
Jacob quickly ran towards the girl, calling her name. "Isa!! Isa! Just wait!"
Isa halted hearing the boy's name and turned to look at him. He was standing in front of her, looking at her in confusion.
"What is it Jacob?" Isa folded her arms, around her chest, looking at the boy.
"Did you not hear me earlier or what?"
"I did, but found it unnecessary to reply and waste my time. You see, you have few hours left for the meet and you do not even have a suit!" Isa smirked, teasing the boy again.
This time Jacob did not smile back, but remained rather serious. "But I can not let you, waste any more of your time, for me. You have already done a lot for me. Maybe you should go back home and rest!"
"Hmmm! So you are kicking me out of this game plan! You traitor! I never expected this from you! Booohooo!! Booooo!! Hoooo!" Isa pretended to cry and wipe away her tears.
Jacob chuckled looking at the girl. "You!! How can you act so kiddish, yet so mature at the same time?! You never fail to amuse me Isa!"
"Hah! You called me kiddish?! I am hurt!" Isa placed her hands on her chest, pretending to be in pain.
Jacob chuckled again, looking at the girl. "What kind of girl are you?"
"A cute one!" Isa chuckled.
Jacob slapped his forehead, looking at the girl. "....."
"Ohk! Listen, its not such a big deal. I love reading anyways. I have spent hundereds of sleepless nights in this library. Not that I have frequent encountars with suicidal people, but because these books are my world. I have already texted my mother, to tell her that I am not coming back. If it would not have been you, I would have been reading something else anyways. So relax and if you are done with your mushy speech, can I go and get the print outs?" Isa spoke everything so rapidly, that Jacob gaped at the girl in astonishment.
"Huh?"
"Can I go?" Isa repeated.
"..."
"Can I gooooo?"
Jacob laughed at the girl and finally replied. "Permission granted Miss!"
"Very well! Thank you sir!" Isa chuckled at left the room, leaving the boy once again stare at her admiringly.
