Chapter 9 - We meet again...?

He walked towards the high wall of the bridge and looked down at the deep Hudson River. His mind was completely foggy and all he wanted was, his miseries to end at just one go!

He slowly stepped upon the adjoining bench and placed one foot on the thick wall of the bridge. His legs were shivering and he closed his eyes, keeping his another foot on the wall.

He slowly opened his eyes and looked down at the deep river. He looked up at the sky for a few seconds, thinking about his father. Dad! I miss you a lot! I will see you soon! Hanna, I have only loved you, my entire life. See you in the next birth!

He then looked down again at the deep river. The sky was absolutly clear in the cold winter night, of the New York city! The full moon was shining brightly, over the boy's head!

He closed his eyes again and slided his one foot forward, slowly in the air. He was about to bring forward his second foot, when suddenly a female voice interrupted him.

"Having second thoughts?"

Jacob placed back his foot and glanced towards the source of the sound. He was stunned to see Isa, sitting on the wall of the bridge, at an extreme corner, with her feet hanging down. She was dressed in the same attire, with a tiara on her head. Except for the thick overcoat on top of her golden dress, which she had worn. She had a champagne bottle in her hand and seemed to be enjoying sitting there.

"You again?! What the hell are you doing here?!" Jacob slapped his forehead, looking at the girl.

Isa took another sip from the champagne bottle and giggled. "Oh! I am sorry! I did not know this is your private bridge!"

Jacob rolled his eyes at her and did not reply. He again took one step ahead, looking at the water.

"Your life sucks! You also suck at commiting suicide! You can't talk nicely with girls! Is there any damn thing that you don't suck at?" Isa giggled again, sipping down the champagne.

Jacob again took the step back and looked at Isa in anger. "Do you even know me? Do you even know what's going on in my life! How can you even comment on a stranger's life!"
