Jacob sat quietly, while the car crossed the entire college boundary wall. Isa turned the car towards right, on a narrow empty road, spiking up the boy's curiosity, but he dare not ask her again the same question.
"So where were you headed, before you met me!?"
"My college! For my fine arts class!" Isa replied calmly, looking towards the road.
"Oh! Arn't you late for that?!" Jacob grew surprised.
"Oh! I have already missed fourty minutes of my class."
"Hey! Listen. You can go back to your college. Please, you don't have to do this for me. I can take a taxi from here or call my driver." Guilt engulfed his mind, realising that he made the girl miss her lecture. It could have been an important one!
Isa meanwhile parked the car, outside a huge building and looked at Jacob. "Why are you being so melo-dramatic. Havn't you ever bunked a class in your entire academic life?"
"Offcourse, I have. But it was not forced. I used to do better things, than save some idiot's life!"
"Well! Atleast you agree, you are an idiot! Come out!" Isa giggled and stepped out of the car, holding an id-card.
Jacob frowned at the girl's comment, but somehow it did not make him angry at all. He stepped out of the car and halted in surprise.
'New York City Library,' was written in bold letters, on the gigantic antique building.
"This is our college library and one of the best in the United States." Isa smiled excitedly looking at the building.
"Ok! But why have we come here?" Jacob frowned looking at the library. He was never a studious person, never having really entered a library before.
Unlike Isa, who was a book freak. She would always keep a book in handy, to read in her free time. Her keen interest was in romantic novels. She would often return back to her home, late at nights due to binge reading. At times, she would go back to her home, early in the morning after finishing the book, she had started.
"You will soon know! Come!" Isa held Jacob's hand, pulling him inside.
Jacob looked at the girl in helplessness and obeyed her. He was only following her, since the girl was giving in so much efforts for him.
