Next morning....
The boy tossed and turned in his bed, as if feeling uncomfortable. He was sweating profousely as if having a bad dream. Suddenly, he opened his eyes in shock and straightened his back and shouted. "Dad!!"
Realization hit him, when he saw the familiar surroundings of his room. He had dreamt of his father drowning in a deep river and he could not do anything to save him.
But reality was even worse than the dream. His father was no more and he was still alive.
"What happened yesterday?" Jacob pinched his nose, remembering everything. "Ahh! That girl. She was making a fool out of me! Suicidal rules? What the hell?! How drunk was I, to believe her!!!?
Jacob was mumbling angrily, sitting on the bed, inside his dimly lit room, when there was a knock on the door.
Samantha entered the room, carrying a fresh lime water in her hands. "Good morning!"
"Good morning aunty!" Jacob replied pleasently, looking at Samantha
"Here! Drink this! You drank too much yesterday!" Samantha looked at the boy, with frustration and concern.
"I know! I am sorry! If it wasn't for that girl!" Jacob held the glass and took a sip of it.
"Oh! Yes! I thanked her on your behalf. If it wasn't for that girl, I don't know what would have happened! She brought you home safely!"
"She brought me home?? Who are you talking about?" Jacob frowned in confusion.
"Isa, your beautiful blue eyed friend!" Samantha smiled, thinking about the girl.
"Hah! She is not beautiful at all aunty! You probably need to change your glasses!"
"She is not beautiful? I have not seen a girl prettier than her. Even your Hanna is nothing in front of her!" Samantha rebuked, while drawing aside the room's curtains to let the sunlight in.
"Hah! Aunty! You are exaggerating! Anyways what did she tell you?"
"Ummm! Nothing! That she was your friend and you drank too much yesterday and fell asleep."
"Hmmm!" Jacob heaved a sigh of relief as he realised, Isa did not tell Samantha anything about his suicide attempt. Atleast she has this much sense! The girl is too clever! She trapped me in her stupid talks and did not let me die!
"She is a very sweet girl. Are you both close?" Samantha sat on the bed and looked excitedly at Jacob.
"Nothing like that Aunty! Infact I don't even know her proparly! Infact, we might not even meet again."
"You will my boy! You will! Oh! and she told me to give this to you." Samantha shuffled her pocket and handed over the glued pink envelope to Jacob.
"What is this?" Jacob looked at the small blank envelope.
"How do I know? The girl told me to give you this, when you get up!"
