That night at home, Rachel faced Andrew's wrath.
"You let Ethan find out from Arnold?" Andrew yelled, his face red with anger.
"I didn't let him do anything!" Rachel shot back, her voice trembling with frustration. "He went on his own. What was I supposed to do?"
"You could've stopped this from the start," Andrew said bitterly. "But instead, you've been keeping secrets, and now our whole family is falling apart."
Rachel's defenses faltered. She had always known this day might come, but she hadn't expected it to unravel so quickly.
"Andrew, please," she said softly, tears streaming down her face. "I never wanted to hurt you. You've been so good to Ethan. To me. But the truth was bound to come out."
Andrew shook his head, his expression unreadable. "The truth," he repeated bitterly. "Do you even know what that means anymore, Rachel? Or have you just been lying to yourself all these years?"
Rachel didn't respond. She couldn't.
