Chapter 15 - Stomped for words

Emma sat up straight looking at the tarmac road the car was now on after leaving the rough road they were travelling form moments ago. There were red bonsai trees planted on either side of the road, very uniformly arranged, they were simply beautiful. With small lights on them helping to light up the way. As the path winded up she passed mansion after mansion on either side of the road. Emma's mouth was wide open, it was like she was in another world entirely well she was in another world as she had transmigrated, but the scene was just wow. Everything was like straight out of a movie scene.

After passing rows and rows of huge gates and mansions Emma finally saw some light ahead and as the car came close to the end of the road, she came to see a huge gate in front of her, it was magnificent with two golden lion statues on either side of the gate. The gate looked like it had withstood many wars since the first of time.

When the cars stopped right in front of the huge metal gate Emma sucked in a deep breath, with a trembling voice she gathered some courage to ask Robert, "Is is this our home?"

"Yes, it is Hunny," Robert answered her, his husky voice staring into her eyes. Emma scoffed and went back to admiring the huge gate infront of her. Trying to flirt with the Queen of flirting, unfortunately he was still too young in the game for that.

Emma saw flashes of light as the cars in front were let in through the gate, with a flash of light a car was let through. Emma sat up from her seat, excited and curious to know how the gate was opening and closing and how it identified the right cars with just some flash of light, as she had not seen anyone looking to check the owners driving the cars. She was so excited, just like a child visiting the amusement park and, in a queue, trying out her first ever ride.

Finally, their car reached the front and Emma saw blue light comi9ng from the gate and scanning their plate number and then the gate opening and letting their car drive in into the compound. Emma slumped down back to her seat when they car drove inside the compound of their mansion with a sigh.

She looked so defeated looking like she had nothing left to live for. Robert grew worried from the fast change in her expression after she had seen how their security worked. He was afraid that she could not accept living in such scrutiny and security or maybe she did not like the extravagance of things. Or maybe she thought she would not have freedom as he had learned so far that she was a wild one, a free spirit she liked to be.

He felt it important to try and explain things to her so she would not misunderstand. "Do you not like it?'

Emma looked at him like she was looking at an idiot," Who would not like such a get up, if only I could shoot a movie in such a place the gate alone could gather the attention of the audience sigh so unfortunate, I transmigrated late."

Robert who was ready to comfort her and tell her all the sweet words he did not know was stomped for words...

After his moment of surprise, he let out a pearl of laughter. Only after Robert laughed did she notice that he was so close to her that she could feel his breath on her neck. The man that was two sits away from her was now so close to her and she had only realized it at that moment. Emma finally registered that the man was a dangerous man, she had to stay away from the man or else she would end up seducing her. No, she could not be seduced. Have some backbone, Emma. His laughter was enough to impregnate her from the proximity, so she had to keep her distance from the man, the far the better.

She straightened herself and then pushed him trying to keep a distance from him, she pushed him until he was against the door. Robert just gave a doting look and then picked up his ringing phone and started talking about a certain route for trade.

Emma went back to sight-seeing, five minutes after they had gone through the gate the car parked just outside the front door to the huge mansion, there was a fountain in the middle of the compound with trees all around and well take care of flowers on the side steps.

It seemed like Robert's family emblem was a lion as the fountain also had two lions sculptured holding onto each other and their mouth close like they were kissing and water was coming from the place they connected as one. Emma deduced that Robert's ancestor must have been a love-struck fool to make such an emblem for his generation to use.

Emma alighted from the car and was shocked yet again when she turned to see a huge adult Leonberger who seemed to be about 30 inches and 150 pounds running towards her with his mouth wide open. She was able to see its giant teeth as it got closer to her and she nearly fainted from fright as it was coming straight at her.

The dog seemed to like the owner of her previous body very much as he stopped right in front of her and lowered his head circling her looking to be petted by her, from the way he was acting it seemed like he was used to it. It even knew to stop and not jump on her seems like the dog was intelligent enough to know she was pregnant and that it was not supposed to do that due to her condition.

Though Emma was clearly afraid of the dog, since it did not seem to have any malice she bent down and scratched his ear a few times trying to recall how she used to do it to her cat Lola.
