Emma was seated so comfortably on the sofa with her feet on the sofa looking like she owned the office, well she owned it all right, her husband was hers as well. After Robert was done packing his stuff, he slowly made his way to where Emma was sitting, she was engrossed in a movie that she kept patting her chest looking like she could relate with whatever the female lead was going through pretending to rub her tears along with the female lead. She looked like she was the one in the movie and she was feeling what the female was feeling. Her character was what made it hard for him to look away from her.
Emma was busy trying to act out what the female lead in the movie was acting out, trying to train herself lest she got rusty, just as she started talking along the lines with the female lead in the movie she saw a person's shadow reflected in her phone, turning back she almost jumped up from the sofa, a hand on her chest she pointed at Roberts's nose," y..o.u you! Don't you know how to make noise while walking, why do you come behind me without making any sound, did you have the intention of scaring me to death heeeeeee? Don't you know it's easy for a pregnant woman's blood pressure to spike up with a little excitement haaaaaaaa?" Emma huffed and puffed clearly, incredibly angry.
Robert touched his nose that had been pointed at and thought to himself, 'You were clearly excited when food was delivered but now you know the excitement is not good for a pregnant woman.' But for the peace of his home, Robert had to keep those words to himself and instead apologize for scaring his wife. "Am sorry for scaring you just now, I will keep it in mind, shall we go?"
Emma grabbed her bag and followed Robert outside the office, making their way to the elevator. She had a smile on her face all the way down to the building. She was happy that her acting was still good and that it had made the cold man think that he had really scared her away. Aha. As if nothing could scare her, she had played minor roles in horror movies before and had to work with the props most of the time as she was acting as a stunt double mostly and so somethings like that we're unable to scare her away. It seems like she now had herself an exclusive audience who would help her rate her acting skills unknowingly.
Ha ha ha, Emma laughed evilly in her head looking forward to the day Robert would find out that she had been using him as a live audience for her acting training.
They made their way to the garage where the same procession was waiting for her, the same as the one she had come with from the hospital, fortunately, it was already dark and most of the employees had already finished work and so it was not eye-catching. The procession and the bodyguards made Emma think her husband was in some way connected to the underworld. She wanted to find an opportunity to talk to Robert about only letting one bodyguard with her, as it would make it hard for her to tour around this new world or plan her escapes with suck kind of security get-go, her escapes will fail even before she tried them and there was no way she was going to let that happen.
The place that Roberts company was situated in was in the city centre. The place was so beautiful at night and Emma kept looking outside when they had boarded the car, while Robert was seated beside her and was still busy on his phone looking like he was talking with one of his employees, asking a few questions about a project.
As the car drove on the surroundings started to change to forest vegetation, and Emma knew they had left the city she could not help but have her thoughts go wild that maybe the husband really had dealings with the underworld. Why did they live so far away from the city when the company was right at the city's heart? Was it not to hide? Who would spend so much time travelling back and forth such a long distance if they were not trying to hide from someone or something? It never crossed her mind that her bodies soul was the one who had requested to live in the mountain's suburbs away from the hustle and bustle of the city as she loved the serenity there, and she had felt that it was a good environment to nurture her children in a quiet environment.
She was already frowning deeply the more the car drove, and she could not even spot a house. The images on the house were only blurry fragments of memories of the former owner of her body. There was nothing useful, so she did not know how long they had to travel or where the place they stayed was located at.
Robert saw her frowning and thought maybe she was feeling unwell somewhere, "what's wrong? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?" He had already put aside his phone and his hands were already on her forehead trying to see if she had a fever or anything.
Emma shook her head to show that there was nothing wrong with her, "Is our home found in the suburbs? Or the mountain maybe?" She remembered from her blurry memories that there was a mountain area on this side of the suburbs that was for the filthy rich, it was a place that even had the country's founding member family's villa. No, she shook her head although the man looked rich, she did not believe that they lived in the mountain area. That place only lived families that had fought for the country's independence alongside the founding father of the country.
The houses there could not be bought with money, they had to have long old roots, so Emma let go of the thought.
Robert watched her mumbling to herself in amusement without the awareness that he could clearly hear all she was talking to herself about.
