That night, Rachel found herself dialing Arnold's number. She hesitated, her finger hovering over the call button. But she needed someone to talk to—someone who understood.
Arnold answered on the second ring. "Rachel? Is everything okay?"
"No," Rachel admitted, her voice breaking. "Andrew wants a divorce. He says I'm not trying hard enough to save our marriage."
Arnold's heart ached at the pain in her voice. "Rachel, you don't have to go through this alone. I'm here for you."
"I don't know what to do," Rachel said. "I'm scared, Arnold. For Ethan, for everything."
Arnold hesitated, then said, "Rachel, you're stronger than you think. Whatever happens, you'll get through this. And I'll be there every step of the way."
