Chapter 12 - Chapter 11: "The Return of a Titan"

The sleek black limousine pulled into the driveway of the Hartley estate, its presence commanding attention from everyone nearby. Arnold stepped out, his tailored suit perfectly pressed, exuding an air of power and confidence that had taken years to cultivate. He had returned—not as the boy Rachel had fallen in love with, but as the CEO of one of the largest conglomerates in the country.

For years, Arnold had built his empire, pouring his heartbreak into his work. But now, standing in the shadow of Rachel's world, he realized that none of his success mattered if he couldn't have her by his side.

Inside the house, Rachel stood at the window, watching as Arnold approached. Her breath caught in her throat. He looked different now—older, sharper, and undeniably powerful. Gone was the boy she had known; in his place stood a man who seemed capable of anything.

"What's he doing here?" her husband, Andrew, asked from the doorway. His voice was calm, but Rachel could hear the underlying tension. Andrew was a good man—steady, reliable—but he lacked the fire that had always burned between her and Arnold.

"He's here for business," Rachel lied, her voice trembling. She turned away from the window, unable to meet Andrew's gaze. "He's just an old friend."

Andrew's jaw tightened. "An old friend who shows up unannounced in a limousine? I don't think so, Rachel. What's going on?"

Before she could answer, the doorbell rang. The sound echoed through the house, and Rachel's heart sank. She knew that opening the door would change everything.

When she opened it, Arnold stood there, his presence filling the space. His eyes met hers, and for a moment, it was as if no time had passed.

"Rachel," he said, his voice soft yet commanding. "We need to talk."

Andrew appeared behind her, his expression unreadable. "And you are?"

Arnold extended his hand, a polite smile on his face. "Arnold Collins. CEO of Collins Enterprises. I believe we've met before, though it's been years."

Andrew shook his hand reluctantly, his eyes narrowing. "What brings you to my home, Mr. Collins?"

Arnold's gaze shifted back to Rachel, his expression unreadable. "I've come to settle some unfinished business."
