"Hello children, my name is Seraphose a high god of transmutation and transformation," said the gigantic crystallise as it listlessly floated in air above the planet, its ancient voice penetrating into the minds of every sentient being on the planet from the ravenous humans who have pillaged their home to the harmless pandas contented with their bamboo forests, to the rats in the sewers.
"The gods of your planets old and new have long grown tired of this existence, the monotony the endless cycle, over and over again in an ever predictable pattern governed by old and boring laws," it said in its high but booming voice.
"Quite a few of your gods have simply grown bored of this paradigm, instead of simply starting from scratch they've asked me to transform your world, no you won't die but the laws are changing and your planet will be born anew."
"Crack!" its hard glass-like carapace suddenly began to open revealing a swirling vortex of black and white light, the earth didn't just get sucked into the vortex like many of the inhabitants thought when they first saw the vortex, no the process was gradual. It started with the mountains, there tips slowly disintegrating into dust that flowed into the cocoon, then went the skyscrapers and the temples.
Once the dust had settled within Seraphose and existence has been paused for all intents and purposes, the many deity's, gods and enlightened beings of the earth came to float in front of the cocoon.
"It is done," Seraphose said to the congregation of divine beings.
"Is this really the right thing to do?" Said a stunningly gorgeous woman wearing thin cloth that barely covered her mesmerising body, worry and sadness adorn her beautiful face.
"It saddens me too, Aphrodite," said a soft and deliberate voice, its owner placing his arm around her waist pulling her close, his orange robe rubbing against her scantily clad figure. "Suffering is necessary for growth."
"Siddhartha my love, what you say is true but my heart aches for all of the lovers that will be torn apart never to be reunited," she said nuzzling into his broad chest.
"True but karma is a strange mistress, some of them may reunite in the new world." He said to consolidate his wife, he may be an enlightened being but even he can't change the feelings of others, all he could do is stand there and immerse himself in his lover's sadness.
After some time. Seraphose's cocoon began to open fully, a majestic butterfly emerges, an intricate ever-changing pattern decorated its wings, barely even registering the existence of the beings stood around its majestic existence it immediately began to lay an egg. As the egg left its body, it began to wither away and become absorbed by its egg, using the last of its strength to flap its wings causing the universe to spin with its egg as the epicentre.
The beings were quite entertained by the sceptical it's not often they get to view nirvanic rebirth, many of the gods were eating and drinking, laughing and joking about ages long past and having a pretty good time overall, truth be told they were actually quite excited about the new world, some of the new laws would make it interesting, to say the least. As they waited for the egg to hatch they passed around popcorn and wine, making comments of the magical technique behind the spectacle.
After a short moment the egg hatched into a white lotus with a million petals, if one were to look closely you would find a minuscule caterpillar lazily munching on one of the leaves, in the centre of the lotus stood the new world, from such a distance the difference was negligible, but every being there could sense the immense but subtle changes to the fabric of the world below.
"Listen up everyone, the beings below are probably confused and could use some divine guidance, it's about time we made it clear that we still exist and we are still gods." Said an old man wearing an eye patch, rallying a large group of divine beings who cheered before diving into the new world.
"Why do they all seek to control and dominate the lower beings?" a small green dragon said to a jewel-encrusted tortoise.
"I... Don't… Know," the tortoise said in a slow unencumbered manner.
"Let's go, old buddy, we can't let them have their way again." The little dragon beckoned to the turtle, before flying to the new world.
Taking a couple of moments to register what the little dragon said, the tortoise sets off in chase calling, "Wait… For… Me…"
One by one the different beings entered the new world each having their own ideas and plans in the new world, each being with immense powers and knowledge.
Unknown the effects of this change, but all are filled with great trepidation to experience the new world.
