In a small room, there laid a 14-year-old girl on the hospital bed.
Her name is Kora Yorps. She had ended up in a horrible accident that led her to be in a coma.
"I'm sorry but she may not be waking up anytime soon...but I will try my best to help her," the doctor told Kora's mother, who was crying in grief.
"Please!! I'm willing to pay anything so please save my..."
---------------------------------------------
As Kora opens her eyes, she questions where she is. It's pitch black in her view of sight. When she looks down, she sees a small light. She feels around her surroundings and realizes that she is currently on a staircase. She decides to walk down the stairs towards the light slowly and carefully.
She hopes to find out where she is and what exactly is going on. Also, a part of her hopes this is just a dream that will end soon.
The stairs start to become more visible to Kora as she continues walking closer to the light.
As Kora is walking down the stairs, she accidentally trips over what seems to be a book.
As she is about to fall, a young boy grabs the back of her shirt and pulls her back up so she wouldn't fall. The boy was shorter than Kora by half a head, had yellow eyes, and orange hair.
"Hey, are you okay?", the boy asked.
"Y-yea...thanks. Um, do you know where we are?"
"Oh! What a coincidence. I just got up to that part of the book," the boy says as he sits back down on the stairs.
He grabs the book that Kora tripped over and opens it.
"This is a star or planet called Earth and if you need more information, the Earth is one of the stars circling the sun and the place they are called is a universe. So technically we are in a universe and if you need more information..."
Before he could finish speaking, Kora interrupts him.
"N-no thanks! I think I know where we are now...thanks...."
I have no idea what this boy is talking about...
"No problem! If you need more information, you can come to the library bio section. I'm always there reading books." *Winks*~
Kora stands there for a few seconds in silence. "T-thanks. I'll keep that in mind."
Kora decides to continue walking down the stairs since it seemed clear that the boy wasn't going to answer her properly. The boy goes back to reading his book in silence.
As she continues to walk down the stairs through the darkness, she finally reaches the bottom. She sees a town with strange buildings that she's never seen before. Because she was in the dark for so long, it hurt her eyes to look at the sunlight. She covers her eyes with her hands for some time and soon gets used to the light.
It was a lively town full of people talking and children running around.
As she looks around, something catches her attention. Far back but still in her vision was a large palace.
"A palace...?"
Kora decides to walk to the palace that is in her view of sight. After half an hour or so of walking, she reaches the entrance of the palace.
"Wohh...I've never seen a palace this close up in my life before!"
In front of the gates, there were two guards who blocked her path, not allowing her to enter.
"May I ask where this is?"
The guards' eyes narrowed. "Can't you tell? It's the palace. Who are you to not even know this? And your clothes are quite strange...are you a Defus??"
"D-defus??? What's that?"
A man's voice from behind interrupts the conversation. Kora, startled by the voice, slowly turns her head.
The soldiers look up and salute.
"Prince Loki! Welcome back."
It was a beautiful white horse that was ridden by a young man with yellow hair that shined like gold under the sun. He was like a real-life prince that came out of a fairy tale.
He looks at Kora and asks who the girl in his way is.
"Sir, she seems to be lost or something."
"Lost? I believe it's not your job to guide lost people."
"Y-yes. We were just about to tell her to leave."
Kora stares at the handsome man who only took one glance at her as he enters the palace on his horse.
The way he looked at me didn't feel very pleasant... It looked like he was looking down upon me. But I can't deny that he looked pretty handsome...
"Leave! You are lucky you are getting away without any punishment!"
The soldiers shoo Kora away from the entrance because of her disturbance.
"S-sorry..."
