After settling down in her car, she looked at her driver, "Bring me the camera footage." She ordered the driver, her eyes looking back at the shimmering hotel. The driver looked at her with a bit of confusion but just nodded to her command.
Sara smirked thinking of his actions, it's fun to play with fire until it burns you alive. And he messed with the wrong one. The cost of it was expensive but Sara was curious too.
Why did she feel nothing in being touched by him? His action made her more curious to find it. He was like a puzzle to her and his words pointed out he was testing the water.
Before she could think deeper, the dizziness from those drinks kicked back. She groaned in anger and signalled the driver to start driving. Sara didn't think about it anymore, she just crashed onto her bed.
Next morning….
"Let go of me….let go of me." A female voice murmured in the darkness. A woman's heavy pressure could be heard. A slender man in the dark walked towards a girl in a dishevelled high school uniform. Like a scared cat, she was curled up into a ball pressing against the wall.
The man stood up in front of her, making her tremble in fear. He crouched down and looked at her shaken expression.
"You got wings again. Huh?" The man said in a cold tone, before grabbing her hair. The little girl winced in pain, begging him to let go of her. "No!" Sara shrieked on the top of her lungs, her whole body quivering in fear. She looked around her room, cautious of everything.
Sara tried to get hold of her breath, curling up in her bed trying to silence the voices in her mind.
Just then the door of her room burst open, "Girl! How could you create such chaos!" Her mother walked in scolding about yesterday? Hearing her mother, Sara rubbed away her tears hastily and straightened her back.
At first, her mother didn't notice how terrified her daughter was, but one of her eyes went over Sara. She stopped talking, walked up to her, and sat down beside her. Sara hugged her tightly, breaking down into tears.
Amelia felt her trembling body against her. It aches her heart seeing her daughter like that. It has been years since it all started, yet her daughter struggles every day in pain and fear. How can a mother not feel pain seeing her daughter like that?
Amelia patted her back gently while humming a song from her childhood. Sara slowly calmed down hearing the song and let go of her mother.
"Breath," Amelia said as did a breathing exercise together with her. Sara finally calmed down and looked at her. Amelia smiled and rubbed away her leftover tears.
"Better?" She asked her. Sara smiled and nodded to her question.
After getting assurance, Amelia's expressions changed. She pulled her ear in fury.
"Ahh. Ahh. Ma." Sara whined in pain, struggling to withdraw her ear. She can't help but wonder how fast her mother changes. Just now wasn't she comforting her now look at her, pulling her ears.
Amelia let go of her once seeing her struggling in pain. She can't help it after knowing what a stupid daughter she had. How can she go kiss a stranger? And that stranger was none other than an infamous underworld lord. A total playboy.
And if that was not enough, she knows her condition and is doing that stuff. Even if her condition was not there, she will never accept a playboy as her son in law.
"Maa!" Sara shouted in annoyance. She was getting bullied in the early morning. At least she should tell her about her crime.
"What!" Amelia glared back at Sara in fury, making Sara go back like a small cat, "What did I do?" She asked in a small voice.
Amelia couldn't believe her daughter, she needs to explain what she did last night. "Aish!" She slapped her on her arm in anger.
Sara gave up at last and got up from the bed in annoyance, she works so hard and what she gets in the early morning is beating? This was unfair.
"What did I do?" Sara wailed at her mother. Amelia got up hearing her act like a kid when she did all that stuff.
"You don't know what you did? You kissed that notorious playboy and you're still acting innocent!" Amelia scolded her, pointing out what she did.
Sara blinked a few times trying to process what her mother said, she had no remembrance of last night until everything started to kick in. She screamed remembering what happened and looked at her mother.
"Ma," Sara smiled nervously, licking her lips. She slowly went closer and wrapped her arms around hers, "I didn't kiss him." She said and ran away to the bathroom before the slipper landed on her head.
Amelia clicked her tongue, picking up her slippers ready to hit her but Sara was quick, she locked the bathroom. She laid on the bathroom and sighed, playboy huh?
"Very well. I will defeat you in your own game." Sara smirked looking at the mirror.
Amelia sighed after she left, her daughter still the same. Acting all tough and cold in this cruel world. Her daughter has a heart of gold yet all she ever got from people was immense suffering making her wall up to protect her heart.
If it was not for her father she would have been living a life like her wish. Her father wanted her to be an heir; she would have pursued racing yet she never complained a bit. She happily accepted her faith and worked hard to get the company the top one.
Amelia was still thinking when Sara came out of the shower. Seeing her mother deep in thought she called her, "Mom, you ok?"
Amelia looked at her wondering what happened, after processing her words she nodded to Sara. "Come for breakfast," Amelia said and left the room. Sara sighed and got ready for the day and went downstairs for breakfast.
Her mother put food on her plate and sat down beside her. Sara didn't talk much while eating.
"Is she doing fine at work?" Amelia asked curiously, Sara chewed her food while nodding to her mother's question. Seeing her daughter was fine, she couldn't help asking, "Tell me do you like him? I don't mind accepting him if you like?" She asked, her eyes shining in excitement.
Sara choked on her food hearing her mother, gulping the glass of water she glared at her mother and hissed.
"Mom!" Sara shouted at her while getting up from the chair and getting ready to leave. Her mother pouted, she just wanted to know.
"I just care, ok!" Her mother yelled at her back as she left. Sara didn't say anything except wave at her.
On picking up her car for the day, she drove to the office. Her Secretary was there at the entrance waiting for her with files. Sara got out of the car to get greeted by her. She handed over a file to her.
Sara couldn't help but smirk seeing the report, "So his name is Michael."
