Unussually Handsome

Afternoon break. Students scattered on the ground chating in groups. She was standing with her classmates just few meters away from Section 1 classroom. They are discussing about the athletes who represents the country in an international baseball tournament. She however wasn't interested in it. The school is in a frenzy when the athletes arrived that morning. She's late as usual that morning, thus she was not able to attend the welcoming of the athletes. She doesn't mind though. From the sideline, she heard a slight screech from a bike. She turned her head to her right and a cute handsome face come into view. He is riding his bike, a smile on his face as he approached their group. Her heart skipped a beat upon seeing that smile. A gentle crease on both of his eyes was visible while his smile stayed on his face. 'Who the hell is he?'.

"Hey! Great seeing you here!" greeted Diane, one of her classmates, one of the few friends she met during her first day in school.

"Hi! Yeah just roaming around." come his quick reply. He nods casually to Diane and look sideways to her. Looking straight to her eyes with a smile he asked" Are you Coach Vasquez's daughter, Bea Vasquez? "

She hesitated for a while. She's not used to talking to strangers. Growing up with overprotective parents and brothers restricts her social life. She was usually introduced first before she can interact.

"And you are?" she respond cautiously. "George Grant" Without taking his eyes off of her he introduced himself.

"He's one of the athletes who represents our country in the US." said Diane. "They are introduced this morning before classes starts."

"Oh, is that so. I'm sorry i was not able to attend the welcoming program. Late as usual. " I shamelessly replied.

"That's ok. We've met anyway."

Ring! Ring! Ring! The warning bell rang. It's time for the next class.

"See you around then. " then he rode his bike to his classroom.

"His so handsome!" giggled Diane. Bea rolled her eyes then entered their class.
