"Come with me Daniel"
The Death looks at the old man in front of him. His face is wrinkled and covered with the a mask. The mask which allows him to breathe longer, but not forever. The old man glances at the stranger in front of him. However, he smiles as he shakily reaches his hand out.
"Darling, you came to get me." The old man, Daniel, says, tears running down his face.
Death looks at the old man. While Death is not the person this man is talking to, at the same time, he is. When Death comes to take someone away, the person dying does not see Death, but however, the person they want to see the most. Death looks at the mirror next to the hospital bed. Today he is a old woman, Daniel's wife. He checks the man's soul, as it rapidly turns darker and darker. As the man's heartbeat fades away, the dull ringing of the heart monitor fills the quiet room.
The sound is broken by the footsteps that follow as the family and doctors rush into the small hospital room.
