Chapter 13 - The Fairy Dust

It's Saturday morning and there are no classes, after waking up, Zeek cooked some breakfast and watched the news.

"Massive Companies are now interested in investing on a game called Gods Realm, What do you think about this?", the female reporter asked a pro player.

"Gods Realm is massive, after opening for only 1 month the players' population already reached a record high of 10 million players, and this is just the start.", The Pro player said.

"You're a well-known player in Dynasty Wars, other major pro players like the War Goddess and Crimson Butterfly are said to have joined and currently playing Gods Realm, are you planning on reuniting with your co-players in this game?"

"That's why I'm here, I'm planning to announce that our guild Rain of Dragons will start developing on Gods Realm".

The crowd listening to the interview suddenly yelled and cheered, then Zeek received a call from Grid.

"Did you see the news!" Grid shouted.

"What news?"

"Rain of Dragons are developing their guild in Gods Realm!"

"So?, Is it a big deal?", Zeek asked.

"Rain of Dragons is a massive guild with countless experts! let's try to join the guild! what do you think? with our current strength, we can have a chance to be pioneers!", Grid said.

"I'm planning to create my own guild", Zeek said.

"Are you serious! well known guild like them will surely take the majority of expert players.", Grid said.

"So what?, This types of guilds are for business purposes only, players who only play for money don't interest me, I chase legacy over money," Zeek said.

"Then let's create a guild after the quest."

"Sure, I'll just need to do some investment so we can set up for the guild", Zeek said

After Grid dropped the call Zeek opened his friend interface and looked for Flower Remedy, lifestyle players are like the working society in the game, there are two types of lifestyle players, first is the employed where players receive monthly salaries and the second one are the freelancers, who are commission based, Zeek as an employer have the rights to see the personal details of his employee, including there address and phone numbers these details are on the contract created in game so that God System can protect both sides of the party.

Zeek then called the number of Flower Remedy.

"H..Hello who is this?"

"This is Endless, is this Flower Remedy?", Zeek said.

"B...Boss!?, I...Is there a problem?"

"Do you have time today? can we meet in person?", Zeek said

"T...Today?, Ummm. . . I'm at City F right now, where do you want to meet?"

"Can you come to city A, I'll wait for you in the train station", Zeek said.

"Okay, I'll be there in an hour",

After an hour Zeek went to the cafe near the train station and waited for Flower Remedy.

"I'm at city A right now", Flower Remedy said.

"I'm at the Cafe Mildina, in front of the train station", Zeek said.

After 5 minutes a petite girl entered the cafe, she has a small face with a boyish kind of outfit, wearing only pants and a hoody jacket, but the beauty she radiates is different. As Zeek saw the resemblance on his in-game character he raised his hand so Remedy can see him.

"Excuse me, Are you Endless?" Remedy asked a gentleman near the door.

She then asked another one before she saw Zeek raising his hand.

"A..are you Zeek?", Flower Remedy asked.

"Have a sit," Zeek said.

"H...How old are you?" Flower asked.

"I'm 14 years old", Zeek said.

"My boss is a 14-year-old!?" Flower Remedy said.

All of the customers glanced on Zeek and Remedy.

Flower remedy then bowed and apologized.

"I...I'm sorry, can I ask you something?" Flower said.

"What is it?"

"You are a son of a wealthy businessman right?" Flower asked.

"Nope, enough with that, what's your name?", Zeek asked

"Oh, I'm sorry my true name is Olina,"

"When we met you said that some of your friends are like you, a lifestyle player, am I right?", Zeek asked

"Yes, but after being employed by you they keep asking if they can join too, they thought that you're a big guild because of the generous contract that you gave me."

"I'll be straight, I'm planning to create a guild, managing a guild needs a lot of gold, and without a wealthy backer will be hard, so I'm planning to open a store first, a store where I can employ lifestyle players," Zeek said.

Olina became excited just by hearing Zeek saying that he will employ more lifestyle players but became sad in an instant.

"Is there a problem?" Zeek asked.

"Mister Zeek, I know that I'm not the best Potion maker in the game, I can say that you nurturing me in the game with all the ingredients and equipment made me what I am today, now I can say that I'm a decent potion maker now. . . but my friends. . . Because of your generous contract, I can help them start up. . . But like me, they are not the best in there chosen craft." Olina said.

"Loyalty", Zeek said.

Olina was shocked by the word Zeek uttered.

"Loyalty is all I need, games are meant to play with friends so we can enjoy them". Zeek said

Olina's eye became teary and Zeek started to panic, while the other people on the shop started to whisper at each other.

"W..wait, why are you crying?"Zeek said.

"Thank you mister Zeek for helping us", Olina bowed down in front of Zeek

"It's no big deal, just stop crying please".

As Olina keep on sobbing Zeek handed her a tissue and started to order some cakes. after crying for 10 minutes Olina regained her composure.

"Later I'll give you some gold, include all the golds that you accumulated in selling the Divine Fire Potion, search for open space near the auction house, or the towns city hall," Zeek said.

"What about the new recruits?", Olina said.

"After building the shop we will meet the rest of the recruits, but first, do you have blacksmith friend?", Zeek asked.

"I have!, he's really great, He said that he only needs a week from now to become an advance blacksmith", Olina said.

"I see, give him the same contract that you have then send it to me after signing it, I need him to be an advance forger as soon as possible so make sure to look some level 15 blue set blueprint and buy every material that he needs," Zeek said.

"B..but that will be so expensive!", Olina

"How much did you get from selling the Divine Fire Potion?" Zeek asked.

"I'll give you the report later but the money that I'm holding right now is 27,000 gold," Olina said.

"27,000 Gold!," Zeek was shocked

"As you said. there is a scarcity of Divine Fire Potion, but the moment that you said that we will hold the selling of it gives me an idea, so I bought all the ingredients in the auction and in the market, every last piece of ingredients sold for a very low price so I stocked as many as I can, I called some of my college friends who are brewers like me and told them that I'll help them become Advanced Brewer and gave them 10 silver per Fire Divine Potion that they can make. The Four of us started making Divine Fire Potion and we made 60,000 worth of Potions.",

"These friends of yours are already advance brewers? did they already signed for a guild to join?", Zeek asked.

"Nope, It's better for them to brew there own potion and sell it to the auction than join a guild", Olina said.

"Why is that?, I thought that joining a guild will rip more benefits than being solo", Zeek asked.

"Freedom of creation, We as lifestyle players sometimes wants to experiment on various potions that we make, for example, right now I'm trying to combine all the Divine Potions into one and make a Divine Elemental Potion if I'm at the guild I can't do these certain things".

"But I didn't order you to make this experiment", Zeek said.

Olina realized that she slipped and told Zeek of her experiments.

"Let's cancel the contract that you have", Zeek said.

"Mister Zeek I'm sorry, I didn't know that you don't want me to experiment on potions too",

"Hahaha. . . Don't worry, I'll cancel the contract so I can renew it, You'll become manager and give you the freedom to experiment on potions, and let those friends of yours sign a contract as well, I'll include the freedom in experimenting, but If you made any progress or created an item I most see it first and I'll be the one to decide if when or how are we gonna sell the item, and I'm the one to decide if the item that you created is worth investing in. am I clear?"

"Mister! are you serious?, this contract is so generous", Olina said.

"That is why I'm changing the contract, the contract will state that if you canceled it your character

progress will reset, meaning if you leave the guild you will be back as a novice lifestyle player, erasing all the blueprints that they learned.", Zeek said.

"Hmmm. That is a heavy penalty, but with this contract, we can avoid other guilds from stealing the ones that we nurtured."

"So what do you think?", Zeek said.

"The benefits are great and the contract is reasonable, I think this will be great," Olina said.

"Okay then, so first, search for space where we can build a store, then I will give you your first job, I'll let you name the place", Zeek said.

"You'll let me name it?, Olina excitedly said.

"Have you thought of a name already?", Zeek asked.

"Fairy Dust," Olina said.

"Why Fairy Dust?" Zeek said

"Do you know the story of the Great Creator? The One who made the temple of the gods. The story said that the fairies vanished because of him, he hunted all the fairies for the Fairy Dust. Making it the rarest of all the ingredients in the world. So I want our store to be like that, everyone will search for our items, I want the items that we make will be desired by anyone, even the Gods".

"Then we will can it The Fairy Dust Trading Center", Zeek then.

"Thank you for believing in me and my friends", Olina said while smiling

After the meeting, Zeek came home, ate dinner and logged in the game. He respawned in the middle of the garden, alone and while waiting for the others to log in Zeek decided to kill some skeletons that respawned to the place. after 30 minutes the team has arrived.

While hunting, Zeek looted some armors and weapons for the team and let the others ware it first before continuing, the team walked towards the entrance of the temple. The pillars of the temple have skeleton snakes wrapped around them. This snakes started to move and blocked the path of the team.

"What does a cursed one venture in the House of the Undying?", the snakes asked.

"We came here to see the Demon King", Zeek said.

"The Demon Kings can't be disturbed"

Zeek then unleashed the mark of Wrath's family quest.

"O Great descendant of the Shadow King, we your servants apologized deeply for the mistake that we caused you"

The snake suddenly returns to there original positions indicating that the team may pass. As Zeek opened the huge door the atmosphere of the temple became dark. the fires on the temple started to glow one by one and hundreds of skeletal remains can be seen littered on the ground.

"I got a bad feeling about this", Grid said.

The skeletal remains started to shake and slowly assembled and a skeleton army formed in front of them, some are warrior types some had robes and staff like a magician, some have bows and some have daggers. hundreds of skeletons walked the halls of the temple.

"I think we need to fight our way through all of this", Wolf Hound said.

"Then let's level up", Zeek said.
