So... stuff happened. Lots of stuff since you've last been here, actually! The round after ours wasn't too special, though it was sorta cool, I guess, but the third round is when things got... weird.
I mean, first of all, this person on this team called 'Truth' made every other person on her team faint or something. Pretty weird, and I'm just glad we don't have to fight her since she lost, or really, forfeited.
The round after that was kinda... brutal, I guess. They both seemed to be at a stalemate for a while, or, really, the one with this cool magic or skill that could like, erase other spells were kind of winning! However, things happened, and then... well, it looked like they were actually really in danger because of the other guy.
Anyhow, I feel like I've said this before, but it's our turn to fight again! We're fighting against these guys called The Magic Knights, who are actually a division of Draila's military force or something. The ones we'll be fighting are members of the division named 'The Azure Sea Dragons', one of three magic knight units. Although, since this is the lower category of the tournament, I'm pretty sure they're all some of the weaker members.
Their fight in the second round showed how they're pretty adept at magic, but seem to rely on it a lot! I mean, people in this world either rely on magic, or skills and never both... I mean, if you combine using both, you'll be way stronger!
But I digress. I've yet to actually appraise any of them, so I'll have to do all that stuff when we get to that point...
And right now, we are at that point.
Did I not mention we all, at this very moment, are fighting against the magic knights? Well, we are, and it's not super convenient. First of all, the one I'm fighting is like ten levels higher than me, and also, they're way better at magic than me. But that doesn't matter! I'll just have to beat them using my easily more powerful skills and stuff!
Though... there's one problem. I'm currently stuck in one of my opponent's spells.
Akin to their group's name, they utilize water magic, and also enhancement magic, but that latter part doesn't matter as much. I'm stuck in this kinda cube of water spell thing, of which I can't get out of...
"You should really surrender already, I really wouldn't want to hurt a civilian..." Eh? Is he seriously that sure he's going to win? Well, isn't he incredibly annoying!
Huh? He's casting another spell. Wait, doesn't he already have this one activated? I didn't even know it was possible to have two different spells active at once! Thinking about it... tons of people have had some barrier-type spells and another type of spells active at once. Okay, that's fine, I've just recently learnt how to use magic! I'm sure I'll get better at it eventually! Definitely, totally!
Oh, right, I'm about to be attacked, I almost forgot.
"But I will." He spoke again, large saws which spun quite fast emerging from pretty much everywhere.
Dang, that could actually kill someone! So, how do I get out of this situation...? Hm...
Oh, yeah, I forgot I can also use magic, and I have the type that's perfect against water. Let's see, maybe I could somehow turn his water into ice? And then I could crack it all seeing how my mana would now be in control.
Oh, god... one huge problem, bigger than everything else. What should I even name this new spell, then? I mean, I've got an idea of what it should do, you know, decreasing the temperature to a point they'll freeze almost instantly... but I have no idea what it should be named. I mean, I don't really have to name it, but it just feels better if I do! Usually, names for things just roll off from the top of my head!
Hm? Oh! I've got it! Sounds a bit more intense than what it actually does, but it's okay, I guess.
"Ice Magic: Frost Aura." Oh, geez, that's pretty cold. Like, it just got at least six times colder than it was before, and because of the water, it was already decently cold!
The spell took effect immediately, turning all of the water around me into ice. The mana in his spell dissipated, returning to just attributeless mana. And then, it cracked and broke.
"What the-- Ice magic?!" He clenched his teeth, obviously annoyed his attack completely and utterly failed. Hah! He must not have been paying attention to the former matches! If he did, he would know his water magic would be useless against me!
Now then, I think I want to test out his strategy against him! And, thanks to the fact I can use barrier magic, mine will definitely be much more difficult to break than his.
"Barrier Magic: Barrier Trap." This time, I had way less difficulty with the name. An almost transparent sphere of condensed mana appeared around him, giving him just enough space to breathe. Well, there were like a couple feet in between the barrier and him, but you get the point.
Right, since I don't want to really use too much mana, I'll just use Icicle Blast combined with Gust. Oh, by the way, anything I want can go in, but nothing can come out until it breaks.
So, the icicles appear, numerous of them, and I get ready to send them at him...
"W-wait! I lose, I lose!" There was a tone of panic in his voice, obviously not wanting to get hit.
Oh, great. Then, that's all done and over with. I change the direction of the icicles so that they don't hit him. Soon after, the announcer calls out how he's now out, meaning I'm free to go help the others.
Hm... on that note, I wonder how the others are fairing.
