Ashamed, Arnold asked, "Are we even accomplishing our dreams? Is this that we've been trying to accomplish? We've fucked up everything, We've let Max take control, and it's consuming us in the process."
Angered, David said,"I think we're doing just fine. There really isn't a problem besides the amount of people trying it out."
"That the exact OPPOSITE of a good thing, David. We need to come up with a different plan to get our dreams, which were to help people deal with their fears by experiencing them, off the ground without harming or sacrificing others to help someone get revenge, I know it may sound a bit stupid, but, I say we break all ties with Max. She's exactly what she was when she was young, a happy little girl, but, sometimes, she's the opposite. Being a selfish evil dick sometimes." Arnold explained.
"You really think that'll fix the problem?" David said.
"It'll cause less of a distraction towards what we wanted. Because, look at last year's records, compared to this years' records. The numbers are WAY too high, and I think she's the cause of it." Arnold said as he flips through papers, showing test records that went incredibly high over that last week or longer.
"Look, I'll give this ghost one more chance to not be a nuisance, if she slips up again, were burning the bastard, you got it?" Arnold said calmly, but in an assertive tone.
"Alright, lets get to work. Oh, and IF, by any chance, you want to keep her in this building, I suggest you keep her out of trouble, you hear me?"
David calmly nods, while Arnold left the room.
David then watched as Max enters the room by coming down from the ceiling.
"You've definitely showed you can help me out on something like this, great job!" Max said while shaking David's hand.
"I know, but... Do you really want to do this? Don't you want to, in any way, enjoy your dead life while you can? Because, as of now, I don't know how killing people who turned on you is in anyway fun. Unless if you're at a drunk party and someone took all the beer themselves, but either way, it feels kinda... Dumb." David said in a concerned tone.
David left the room after saying that, just before he could though, Max stabs him with a knife, releasing his soul and allowing Max to enter his body.
"Don't ever fucking play like that again, don't ever tell me what I say or do is dumb, seeing as how you love to try new things, try living as a ghost for a while, gotta try out this new bod anyway." Max said as he left the room.
David can't really get back into his body, unless the body sleeps, or the user of the body chooses to leave.
Arnold, at the control center, watches David enter the simulation, which has already been activated for the next person, Logan Franchesco, A Green Beret who has has a fear of the water. Considering a traumatic event he was in the water, and a hunted him down. He'd been trying to get past his fear.
And turned to Arnold for help.
"David, why the hell are you going?" Arnold asks.
"Stop telling me what to do, fuck you." Max said, then got into the simulation.
Arnold bangs the desk, "FUCK OFF." Arnold grabs the phone that connects to the simulation, "Logan."
"Yes?" Logan said.
"If you spot a person wearing a jacket that is green, I give you the right to shoot him, or choke him out. I don't care what he says, DON'T BELIEVE HIM." Arnold said before slamming the phone on the hook.
Logan, in he simulation, looks around, then spots a man coming after him.. Logan pulled out his firearm.
"Back the fuck away!" Logan yelled.
The man glitched out the second he said that line.
"What the fuck is this? Arnold, is this simulation safe?" Logan Asked.
"Yes, the simulation is safe." Arnold said.
Logan looks around, "You sur-
Max jumps out and grabs Logan by the neck, trying to choke him out.
Logan shakes violently, while quickly trying to grab his switchblade.
"Don't even think about- Max said before being hit in the knee by Logan.
Logan grabs his switchblade and stabs Max in the head.
Angry, Logan yelled, "Was that supposed to happen? Do you call THIS SHIT SAFE? Get me out of here, NOW."
"oh shit." Arnold whispers.
He knew he'd fucked up.
