The two were talking when the door opened and Alexia came out.
"Let's talk but not here," she said directly to Alpha Russel.
"Baby, are you sure?" Alpha Jarred asked her daughter.
"Yes Dad. Don't worry. I'll be fine," Alexia assured her father.
"Shift!" Alexia told Alpha Russel.
"Why?" Alpha Russel asked hesitantly.
"Do you want to talk or not?" Alpha Alexia asked back and Alpha Russel shift immediately. Alexia also shift and both of them run towards the deeper part of the forest. After arriving, they both shifted on their human form.
"What else do you want to talk about? I clearly told you that I don't want anything from you," Alpha Alexia said.
"I know. But whatever you do or say, even if the moon turns red, you're my one and only mate. We belong to each other," Alpha Russel said.
"Really?" Alpha Alexia asked in a mocking tone.
"Yes," Alpha Russel said in a stern tone.
"Then grow old without a mate. I don't care because in my case, I don't want any mate. I don't need you in my life anymore so deal with it, "Alexia said directly looking at his eyes.
"Then atleast let me explain my side, Xia," Alpha Russel plead.
"Correction, Alpha Alexia," Alpha Alexia said once again.
"Alpha, let me explain atleast once and I'll never bother you again," Alpha Russel said.
"Fine! Explain!" Alexia said.
"Meeting you was the best thing that happened to me but the situation wasn't right back then...
"Beta Lucas, we're running out of time, we need to find my sister," Alpha Russel told his Beta in a devastating tone.
"Our intel told us that there are some information in Wolf Cave Club that we can gather," Beta Lucas answered.
"Is it connected to them?" Alpha Russel asked .
"Somehow, yes, "Beta Lucas.
We went to the bar and gathered some data. After having enough information, we have located the den they were hiding her. As we were going outside, I smelled you. You were so beautiful that I forgot what our mission was that time. The urge to mark you and be with you was so strong that I can't control my mind. My mate and my heart was calling out to you, to mark you, to own you.
We spend our first night together and it was wonderful. I was planning to mark you officially when you wake up but a news about my sister filled me with guilt. They said she was on the brink of going crazy and she might die. I don't know what to do. Our pack was not stable and enemies were lurking just around the corner. Our pack wasn't safe enough and I can't afford to drag you into it. By marking you, it means I have to announce you as my mate and the luna of the pack. The only choice I have back then to take you away from danger was to reject you.
Alpha Russel finished explaining and this was the longest time he talk.
"Believe. You could have believe in me, in US , but you choose the hard way. You choose to face it alone. Without me," Alpha Alexia said.
"I know. If I could turn back time, I still don't know what to choose but I could have explained it to you at that moment," Alpha Russel sighed.
Alpha Alexia decided not to talk but she just stared at him.
"Can we please give it another chance?" Alpha Russel broke the silence.
"I don't know. There are many what ifs on my mind and a lot of things happened. I need some time to process my thoughts, " Alpha Alexia answered.
"I understand but can you please not shove me away the next time I come?" Alpha Russel said.
"I'll try, " Alpha Alexia said.
"Thank you, " Alpha Russel said with a smile.
They returned silently and Alpha Jane and Alpha Russels Beta was waiting for them.
