Tring, Tring....
Tring, Tring....
Daniel slapped his hand over the annoying alarm clock but the ringing does not stop. Instead it becomes more annoying. He throws his pillow at his computer which was ringing insistently. He wake up with a groan and mutters to himself as he tries to find his glasses in the mess he calls his room. He should probably clean up before mum barges in with her fleet of butlers and maids to bring some order to Daniels chaotic room.
Finally he found his glasses and sits at hi desk. The ringing also stopped. He checks his call log and smiles. Its a call from 'Morning Star', his online gaming partner. She is the only one who can keep up with Daniel when it comes to computers. He dials Morning Star wondering if he would ever meet this friend of his. As the call starts ringing Daniel wonders about how he met Morning Star.
Daniel met Morning Star when he was participating in the International Hacking Competition 3 years back. He was one of the newbies in the competition having just quit his job to become a freelancer. Morning Star unlike him was a veteran in the competition, she was set to win the tournament. Despite being new to the game Daniel fought head to head with Morning Star and almost won. This went on for over six months before he got a message from Morning Star asking him to assist her in a new project that she has taken up.
The proposal for the project was interesting. It gave Daniel the same thrill he gets from his competitions. So he agreed to work together without even understanding who was on the other side of the screen. Pretty reckless of him if you ask his friend Robert who has been worried sick of Daniels erratic behavior. Now after three years of working together he can confidently say that it was one of the best decisions of his life. Morning Star has not only become his working partner but also an important part of his life. She became so important that his days feel incomplete without talking to her.
