Chapter 2 - Iris Silcia- The Past (1)

Iris felt herself drifting through space. Her whole body trembled and she could only see darkness...

Was she dead?

She must be.

Then this darkness, was it for her to reflect on her errors?

To see where she was wrong?

Where she made the wrong decisions?

And where she became blinded by the deciets of these people?

This emptiness, must be her Karma for being so stupid...

Iris was the 4th daughter of the Prime minister, Nochesse Silcia. This was the country Alphesta. She was born of the 2nd Concubine, Sumerie.

At the age of 6, she along with her mother, was sent to a desolate village to live as her mother was not 'pleasing' to the main wife's eye.

There, the mother-daughter duo had to live in misery for 8 years. During those 8 years, her mother became severely ill. When they were called back to the Prime Minister's manner, Iris was 14.

Because of lack of etiquette, Iris was shunned and mocked by everyone, even the servants. The Manor was much harder to live in as compared to the village...

But when Iris would be bullied, somebody would come to her rescue. It was her oldest sister born from the Main wife, Aria. She treated Iris with kindness and gained her unconditional trust. She thought that only Aria would forever be with her.

Little did she know, this innocent and kind personality was but a facade. Her true vicious personality was something she kept hidden from all!

Aria along with her mother, poisoned Iris's mother, put her to death, stole her inheritance and bid the entire family against her! Making them regard her as an arrogant ignorant girl who only knew how to stir up trouble.

Then these two, in an attempt to finally get rid of Iris, married her off to the sixth Prince who had no chance of becoming the next king, Leon. This Prince was rumored to be talentless and was not favoured by the Emperor at all. A commonly known trash.

Yet did Iris know this? No!

She was oblivious to everything!

She obideintly married the prince, even thanking her step-mother for such a prestigious marriage and how kind and considerate she was....

Brainless!

But what happened after marriage was even more tragic...
