This is the oldest written legend that has been recorded in the entire history of Eden...
Long ago there was only a barren wasteland. Then a holy goddess named Harmony descended from heaven. When she planted a sacred seed into the center of the wasteland a great tree sprouted. That tree was named Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life. From its roots Mana flowed freely and a vast mystical realm was born.
There were wide open fields as far as the eyes could see. Tall mountains that stretched up to the skies. Beautiful and crystal clear lakes. Deserts that had caverns and caves filled with wondrous treasures. Forests and woods that were home for many wildlife creatures. There was even villages, towns and cities. But the most majestic part of Eden was the castles.
There were three races that lived in Eden after they were birthed by the life force known as Mana. They are the humans, elves and beastmen and they each live in a separate kingdom. The humans lived in Genesis Kingdom, a kingdom under strict ruling of righteousness. The elves lived in Rune Kingdom, a kingdom under strict ruling of faithfulness. Meanwhile the beastmen lived in Alpha Kingdom, a kingdom under strict ruling of loyalty. That's not to say that each race didn't interact with each other.
The humans were created in the image of Harmony. When she created the elves Harmony wanted to have a race similar to the humans but more attuned to magic. Meanwhile for the beastmen she wanted something new and different. As such she combined the Mana of the humans with the Mana of beasts to create the half human and half beast hybrids. When all was finished Harmony left Eden and returned to heaven.
For centuries these three races all lived in tranquility. That is until one day a dark shadow shrouded Eden in darkness. The humans and elves were not affected by the darkness but the beastmen were. They became savages and bloodthirsty. They started to attack the humans and elves. When all hope seemed lost and the hour of doom was at hand Harmony intervened. She was the one who gave the humans and elves hope.
She had done so by leaving behind a sacred sword named Masamune, Heaven's Blade. The sword was stuck fast in the trunk of Yggdrasil and only her chosen hero could pull it out. Years have passed since then and now a young princess has begun having prophetic dreams of the goddess's chosen hero. Only time will tell when they shall arrive to save Eden. And as fate would have it Harmony's chosen hero is but a simple human farm boy living in the country.
