Three Pieces of Advice

Long ago in the land of xi juing there was a man who had recently married a beautiful wife.

He wanted to make her happy and told her he would go to a faraway country to find work, make money and come back.

Before he left they made a promise to each other to be faithful.

He left and travelled many Li of miles until he came upon a place he found work with a man and told him to keep his wages until 20 years had passed,He worked tirelessly and finally after 20 years went to take his wages.

The man told him he would either give him his wages or three pieces of advice.

The young man deliberated with himself until he chose to take the 3 pieces of advice.

1.Do not take shortcuts

2.Do not be curious

3.Do not act when angry

With each piece of advice he gave him 3 loaves of bread.

Armed with the knowledge received, three loaves but no money in his pocket he started the long journey home to his wife.

As he travelled he met a split in the road, when he asked a traveller going the opposite direction he was told that there was a long road and a shortcut that would save him time.

When he was about to take the shortcut, he remembered the 1st piece of advice he was told and took the long route.

By luck he learnt that the shortcut had a band of thieves that had been terrorising the travellers.

He felt grateful, for the advice and ate the first loaf.

When he was tired he rested at a inn, in the dead of the night he had alot of noise outside as he was about to investigate he remembered the 2nd piece of advice and stayed put and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning he had all who went outside had been killed he thanked the man who told him the advice in his heart and ate the 2nd loaf.

He then continued his journey and finally reached home as he peeped through the window he saw a huge well muscled, handsome man.

Rage filled him as he tried to imagine what his wife would be doing with such a man in the house.

He was about to enter and show his wife a piece of his mind, when he remembered the 3rd advice took deep-Calming breaths and entered the house.

To his surprise before he left his wife had been pregnant and the handsome man before him was his son.

He felt lucky not to have overreacted and they sat down to eat the last loaf.

To their Shock!!!! the 20 years wages were hidden deep inside the loaf they were surprised and thanked God for bringing such a man in their lives.
