"Am I the only one being left out?"
Two humans were in a white room. The place was Arceede's VPS.
"It won't be. At least, it's not only you."
Arceede and Avia had login again to the game. The chaos during dawn was a big hole to the plan and their meeting.
Now, Avia was a bit gloomy and shaky. It seemed like he was uncomfortable with what just happened earlier.
During 'the dawn incident', he told not to help with the clash. Furthermore, it came from Arceede's mouth. The one that had witnessed his ability to fight amidst the low stats of being civilian.
It was rather an awkward conversation in the white room.
"Well then, can you tell me the detail?" Avia was asking directly to the point.
This was always weird for Arceede to meh this part of the personality from his companion.
A sudden change between a calm and shaky guy, he couldn't get used to it.
As the question asked and he wanted to tell him about the actual thing that happened, the past event appeared in his mind.
That time, his brother was running desperately and ruining any players that were about to enjoy the first dawn at Sizzeria Hill.
Even at first, he was also annoyed by his own little brother. But amidst the situation, he couldn't help but jump into the chaos.
Dozens of Demonic Apes were a dangerous threat to the current level of players as they were all just slightly above Lv 10.
"It's yellow." That was what Avia whispered to him.
He got the meaning of it. Based on the experience he gone through, a single individual of the yellow-named monster wouldn't become much of a threat to the most party.
Furthermore, he had a party gathered which included the scouted players from Berdian and Harden.
It was a good time to showed off their skills. In addition, he had an Lv 30+ NPC companion Ilya, with him. The one that could guarantee their safety.
The one he didn't know was that his little saying to Avia, the only non-adventurer there, triggered the shaky personality to came out.
"Help us with the information. Stay behind." He told Avia the best thing the only civilian in the party could do based on the situation.
It was one of the plans he had in mind to utilized Avia. Based on the information he got from Ilya, the current state of the world had used to the full party of adventurer for monster hunting.
From his perspective, the current him and the batch of 'new visitors from the other world' might decide the new style of the world.
Avia, with a decent comprehension of the 'game' and 'observation', might be the one that best suited to be the commander of the party amidst the low 'stats' and his path as a 'civilian'.
Well, at the time the role was assigned to Avia, he also did not give any response to oppose it, or it was best to say that he just silently received the order. And so, the clash erupted between the combined party versus the bunch of demonic apes.
"Hahaha, this is a great introduction you give us." Narzael the silver-haired elf gave the reaction to the golden-haired elf that ran to their direction, desperately.
"Hi, Berd! Oh Uncle! Bro! Help Me!" That was the cry from the golden-haired elf asking for help.
"At least, introduce yourself properly." Arceede was watching the situation calmly. The two people closest to him followed it with a giggle while the others just staring blankly at the situation.
"A-a, Hello! I am Roivicc! A Mystic. You can call me, Vi. Nice to meet you, everyone." The elf bowed hastily to everyone around.
"He is my little brother, everyone. I apologize for the trouble he caused."
Arceede completed the greeting while the demonic apes were getting closer and closer.
"Are you alone, Vi? Call me Gerd." Stugrd the tiger-like beast asked the elf that was hiding behind his brother. The elf had fixed his attention to the Demonic Apes that were coming closer.
"Oh, Uncle Gerd. Yes, I am alone. I don't bring any."
Stugrd was letting out a sigh with a soft smile, hearing the response. Mainly because of the word 'Uncle' that were not disappeared from his nickname.
"Let's battle them, guys." Narzael was giving out the instruction while pointing in the direction of the Apes.
"Really!?" Some of them let out a cry, not believing what they just heard.
Among them, apart from Arceede and Ilya, were just still at Lv 10. And although they could see the color of the Apes as yellow, which means not terribly dangerous, the fact that the Apes hunt in packs, like the wolves from the earlier village, it was enough to give them an unwritten rule to afraid of the threat.
Nonetheless, they still ready to fight.
After a glimpse of a flashback of the situation, the two people in the white room were still awkward to each other.
"The clash was honestly amazing. For the one that carves a high-level battle from the game, I can't debate the experience." Avia was breaking the silence.
Arceede was a little surprised but agreed to what was Avia said.
It has already quite some month in real life for him to not experienced that amount of excitement.
Raid, where a large number of the party were gathered to joining in a fight. A large amount of concentration and high-level coordination needed for a raid to clear the 'World Raid' from the previous game, the best end game content for the high-level players.
"Yeah, everyone was amazing. Especially the two that Narzael brought. That guy's eyes were always amazing."
Arceede still had a good glimpse of the event. Stugrd and Ilya that became strong walls and the two toughest individuals for the party.
Narzael with his accurate shots and his two 'assassins' that were so swift with their movement that was able to create some spaces for the party.
Their footwork was not that good compared to the civilian besides him, but maybe because of the high [Dex] allocation that their movement was so swift.
His brother was also decent. He was one of the mystics in the party but, the only one with a wide and also long-ranged attack. There were a lot of things to be improved but, he was proud of him nonetheless.
The things that bothered him were the two humans in the party. "How about me?" What Avia asked woke him up from his thought.
Just as he thought about the two in the party that bothered him, one of them asked the question directly.
"You were doing it bad. I apologize if I can't soften the word for you." Arceede answered bluntly and direct.
"I know."
"Why is it? New environment? The bad assignment from me?"
"Maybe... I am sorry... I.. I.. at that time, I want to join the fight."
The answer he heard gave him a complexity. He couldn't deny the ability he has seen for the few days they had together but, the low stats for being a civilian was a thing he couldn't deny the most.
"Then why were you chose to play as a civilian?"
"I know.."
The short answer he got was just giving him another bundle of frowns.
"So, you are aware that we have reset skills. And the best path for you was also opened. Hm?" Arceede could not help but be annoyed with the situation.
"That's also what I have in mind. I might reset my stuff and play as an [Inventor]."
Arceede who heard the answer could not help but restrain himself from not being direct.
"Just to remember, the path is yours. Anyway, let's just enter the world. Let's not make Ilya and her sister to wait."
Before this, they had an appointment with Ilya and his sister, the clerk of the armory store. He still had the struggle and annoyed with the unstable guy but, decided to keep moving on.
"Umm Ar..." Avia called him before they were about to left the VPS.
"What is it?" Arceede just answered without looking back. He was busy with the 'menu tab' he opened.
"Umm nothing.. sorry."
"Well, let's leave."
And with that, they enter Swiljar City once again. The one he could not expect was to enter the City without sharing any information about the 'fanatic fans' incident. The one that he has expected to tell to him.
Never mind that they would discuss it, the fact he got from the meeting in his VPS earlier was just about how hard it was to handle this new player of their future guild.
"Will we join with the batch again?" Avia asked him while they were on the way to the appointment location, broke the silence. The batch he meant were the party gathered earlier.
"No, we have concluded that we better split up to for the information. Our priority is to find a way to make the guild for now. Oh, at least one of them will join us. So, we are a 4 man party now."
"Ooh, is that so?"
