Chapter 5 - Changes

They remained in this position without talking. It was a comfortable silence. Athena knew that Helen needed this and so did she.

After learning the truth, she was probably weak and unsure. She would feel unprotected because Athena always felt that way when she was in her desperate times.

...

She knew this hug would help Helen feel safe and give her hope. So she kept and gave her all the time she needed to calm down.

In her past life, they went to Helen's room and just ate while making small talk. Their mother never showed like how she said she would. But she could care less about her.

Athena mind trolled off as she realized in her last life, she never really had a deep talk with her sister and they never had a hug.

'Meh.' In this lifetime they did and there will a lot more changes.

...

Helen finally calmed down and had a clearer mindset than before.

She pulled out from the hug as did Athena. "Are you ok?" Athena asked. "En" a short and simple reply was heard from Helen.

"Remember don't tell anyone about this, not even Mr. Han, because he might be involved" Athena reminded.

Saddened at the fact that her own father might've killed her mother. She replied sadly. Her eyes turned teary.

"Don't cry. Your mother will not be happy if she saw you like this. If he did murder his wife then he doesn't deserve you." Athena said as she wiped the falling tears from her sister's face. "Even if he did not kill your mother. He still doesn't deserve you or your mother because while his wife was alive he still went out and had extramarital affairs. So don't cry for a bastard like him."

Under the consolation of Athena, Helen finally stooped crying. "What should we do? I know she is your mother but I want to get revenge on her and my father for my mother"

Right now, Helen was sitting on her sister's lap as she half hugged her waist. Helen felt was just like a child, she also felt like one. She felt like she actually got another motherly figure. There was a type of comfortable and adoring vide her elder sister gave of. She was mature, calm and protective.

Athena looked down at Helen who had slightly red eyes from the crying. She pinched her cheeks lovingly as Helen stared at her with affectionate eyes.

"For now... Don't worry about them. I want you to focus on yourself." Athena spoke as Helen nodded as a gesture of understanding.

"Oh, and you have a marriage alliance with that guy... Jun Yi." As she said 'Jun Yi's name as a glint of hatred passed through her eyes. " We will have to try to get rid of that marriage alliance. He doesn't deserve you."

"Ok" Helen replied instantly.

Athena knew that Helen never really like that bastard. It was just that she felt lonely and thought probably he could give her the love she needed. Neither did Athena. She was with Jun Yi to impress her mother. But the reason why she hated him was because of what a bastard he was.

When she was drugged by her mother and sent to his bed. She hated him but to provide her mother with benefits she stayed within a secretive and unwilling relationship.

Afterward when she had served her purpose that bastard threw her away and tried to get into a relationship with her sister as she was a legitimate daughter. Which her father willingly approved for his own benefits.

But before she got into that relationship she died 3 days before her own death.

"Right now. Don't try to get noticed by Mr. Han. If you do he will try to use you for his own benefits." 'Just like how it happened with me in the past.' Athena didn't say the last sentence.

"Okie Dokie sis. Don't worry." Helen replied with an innocent smile and slight giggle.

" And the last one... We have to lay low and grow on our own. I think you have a knack for design. You can be a great painter with your abilities. I don't want to decide your future it all depends on you, but whatever you choose, you have to tell me. I'll support you. I just think you are a great artist." Athena said with both concern and love.

"Got it. Mum. I wanted to be a painter as well." Helen said as she mocked her by calling her 'mum'. She was also happy to get some praise from her sister.

There was a happy smile on her face.

In the past few months, this was the only time she genuinely smiled.

She was happy.

After learning all of the stuff about her she was sad. But having her sister and knowing she had someone protecting her. She was happy.

After the conversation, they both left the room together.

After they came out of the room they were still going to act a bit distant. This was decided by Athena and Helen followed her sister's lead.

But inside their heart, they were so much more close.
