Chapter 89 - Third Year's School Trip 4

"Aizawa Miku! The voice actor of Aoi-tan from the Magic School Girls!" Kamika suddenly became a fangirl.

"Nice to know your face is also well known to your audiences Miku-chan!" Aki poked a fully disguised Miku.

"You're a dancer don't you? Though dancing isn't really popular among the kids..." Miku responded.

"A dancer...? I remembered, Keita-kun said the same thing just now!" Kamika said.

"We'd appreciate if you keep it down, since Miku-chan is here and only her management and us knows it." Aki said.

"Understood!" Kamika nods like crazy.

"A gap moe character huh...?" Aki thought to herself.

"Now that the two of them are going to be alone together, let's take a look around." Miku said.

"Alone...? Is there anything I missed?" Kamika aksed.

"Welp... At one time, his drunk parents suggested that they would pair her up with him when he grows older, and it have since became a walking joke following her everywhere as she got very flustered and denied it strongly till she passed out." Aki laughed.

"We were there, but it looked too interesting to interrupt, so we kinda regretted that we left a trauma in her." Miku let out a light laugh.

"Poor sensei..." Kamika sighed and followed them to look around.

Meanwhile, Keita is chasing down Ogura-sensei.

"Sensei! Why are you running?" Keita asked.

"I dunno! Don't follow me!" Ogura-sensei shouted.

"Hey, no running! Oh..." Shinosuke tried to reprimand them as they passed through them, leaving only a gust of wind.

"What is that about...?" Chisato clings to Shinosuke.

"Probably some kind of prank..." Mayoi clings from the other side.

"Can the two of you not make us all stick out like this...?" Shinosuke asked.

"When you professed your feelings to us, you said you will take our hands no matter the ordeals we face." Mayoi said.

"Social judgement is just one of the many ordeals, face it early on, we can ignore this one soon after." Chisato said.

"Sigh, alright, let's look around there together." Shinosuke said as he started walking, his girlfriends follows his footsteps, filling the air with love, surrounded by judging gazes of the public.

"Shimamura-san with the two girls, what kind of relationship would that be?" Some students whispered.

"Tch..." A female student clicked her tongue and left the area.

Ogura-sensei ran out of breath, and sat down on a bench, and Keira finally caught up with her.

"Phew... That is some insane workout..." Keita slowly sat down next to Ogura-sensei.

"Haven't been running this much since middle school..." Ogura-sensei said as she still having troubles to catch up her breath.

"Sensei was an athlete?" Keita asked curiously.

"I tried to be one, but I changed my goals after I lost in a track meeting." Ogura-sensei looked at a distance.

"I see, it must be tough." Keita replied.

"You don't ask why I gave up that easily?" Ogura-sensei asked, intrigued of Keita's reaction.

"If you would tell me, you would have already told me." Keita explained.

"Haha... True. I wasn't that talented compared with the kids who has been training since they were young. My weak constitution left me a frail body unfit for body training when I was young." Ogura-sensei had a light chuckle as she said, that chuckle does not mean any joy in it, it's a facade to cover her sadness.

"I had no idea..." Keita, struggling to find the right words to say.

"Then I met big sis Yuuki. She then set up a drama club, and we all had fun it it. It was the most treasured time in my life." Ogura-sensei smiled.

"Along with my parents, I'm jealous." Keita said, after seeing her smile.

"You are still young, didn't you found your group of friends already? Cherish that bond you forged with them, and you'll soon understand the meaning of youth." Ogura-sensei said seriously, and ends it with a smile.

"Just like... Now?" Keita said playfully.

"Huh?! What are you-" Suddenly reminded of the situation earlier, she got flustered, with her red cheeks, she got up and distanced herself away from Keita.

"... Thanks Sensei. I will do just that, and tell you my report of my youth when it is closing in to the end." Keita said.

"... Then, this is your end of term final essay. I will be expecting an interesting one." Ogura-sensei smiled.

"What a Sensei thing to say, I'm impressed." Keita said.

"Ugh... At least read the mood!" Ogura-sensei's voice echoed from afar.

Meanwhile, Kamika is walking alongside Miku and Aki looking around at the historical scenes in the historical city.

"How is Keita doing in school? I bet he is all edgy and the lone wolf type." Aki snickers.

"Well... About that..." Kamika hesitates.

"I'm not in the same class as Keita-kun, but from what I know about him... He's changed." Kamika said.

"Oooh! Oh my!" Miku emitted weird noises, as if she reacts to a force known as Keita's gossip.

"Eeh?!" Kamika is so surprised at how her favourite voice actor can create sounds she never heard before on TV.

"Ah, here she goes again. Don't mind her, she just respects his parents a little bit too much that she kind of think Keita as her own close relative or something." Aki explains.

"I-I see... That is a rather unique taste in hobbies... Ehehe..." Kamika tries to blend in, just for her to regret forming that sentence through her mouth.

"He was very cold and unsociable back in the day... It's like he has no reason to do anything other than studying." Kamika explained.

"That's quite accurate." Aki commented.

"I met him again when we passed by each other in the school, and he still looked the same that time, yet the next time I met him, he has changed." Kamika blushes as she explained.

"Hmm hmm hmm!" Miku is getting too excited for this.

"So, mind telling us what changed him? I feel like you are leading us on with this." Aki said.

"That person who somehow changed him, I think it's Ayumi-san " Kamika said.

"...!" Aki and Miku are both surprised.

"What? Why are you surprised? Do you know Ayumi-san?" Kamika asked.

"Ayumi Fujiwara...?" Aki asked.

"No, her family name is Mikoto." Kamika said.

"So is it not her...? It would be weird if she somehow returned without telling any of us." Miku said.

"I see, who was this Fujiwara-san you were talking about?" Kamika asked nonchalantly.

"She was a friend of his back when he was still a child." Aki said.

"A childhood friend." Miku added.

"She got the Kujou's disease as you see... Which was pretty chronic and requires medical treatment from overseas." Aki said.

"So she and her family went overseas for treatment." Miku said.

"So did she became well after that?" Kamika asked.

"At first, we didn't hear from them anymore. But then we found out that her parents divorced. He was still paying for the medical treatment despite losing the custody of Ayumi-chan." Aki said.

"But what happened before their departure was Keita got into an accident on the way to send her off. He was hit by a car when crossing the road." Miku said.

"He missed her departure, and his coping mechanism somehow made him think that she doesn't want to be friends with him anymore." Aki said.

"We were also partly at fault, because everyone was so grim at the time, a precious friend with such a fate. It was hard for a child to take in." Miku said.

"At the end, he closed his heart. Never to accept anything no matter what we did. Fuyuko-chan was very lucky, to be able to get past that. Kanade-chan too, I wonder how she is doing now." Aki said.

"I had no idea..." Kamika finally understood the reason why he became how he was back in middle school. He probably lost faith when he lost his precious friend on that day. If only that Ayumi has returned and well, would he be happy about it? But the similar name gave Kamika an instinctual guess. Perhaps it was already happening? Kamika thinks deeply after a short ponder.
