"Hello, this is Amanogawa Chisato." Chisato ringed a doorbell. Right underneath of the doorbell shows a nameplate that displays the family name Shimamura.
"Huh...? It's very rare of you to come to my house on Sundays..." Shinosuke opened the door.
"Well, there is something I would like to discuss about." Chisato replied.
"Something...? Is that about the school trip?" Shinosuke asked.
"Precisely." Mayoi said.
"Woah! You surprised me!" As usual, Mayoi's presence is hard to tell unless she talks to someone.
"Alright, please come in. I'll prepare tea." Shinosuke unlocks his house gate, inviting them in.
"Actually we can talk about this in school, why now?" Shinosuke asked as he walks into the kitchen.
"Well, I'm curious about what kind of place you live in." Chisato said.
"... Me too..." Mayoi said.
"I see... Feel free to look around." Shinosuke said.
"Alright, we got the owner's permission! Charge to Shimamura-kun's room!" Chisato said.
"O-oh...!" Mayoi sounded pumped too.
"Even you huh...? Yukimura-san..." Shinosuke sighed as he continued to prepare tea.
"Alright, let's begin searching!" Chisato marched into Shinosuke's room.
"W-what are we looking for president?" Mayoi asked the real questions.
"Considering he is a guy... There must be something lewd hidden somewhere." Chisato said.
"L-lewd?!" Mayoi is surprised.
"Hey, don't go around and search someone else's things!" Shinosuke said as he brings tea.
"Oops, plan foiled!" Chisato sits down.
"So, what are we talking about now?" Shinosuke asked.
"Aside from the school trip which is already going well, it's almost time for us to leave." Chisato said.
"I agree... We didn't achieve much as we promised back then." Shinosuke said.
"But I was happy that we were together in the student council." Mayoi smiles as she said.
"True, at least we were happy working together in the student council. That was enough for me." Chisato said.
"Is that all? I don't think you were content with the way things are now." Shinosuke said.
"Our successor, Ibuki-kun." Chisato said.
"Ibuki Kantarou, Class 2-A, a student with top grades of the second year. It doesn't seem like he have any competitors. But he still need to go through the election to become president." Shinosuke said.
"He's too arrogant to listen to others. He's no fit to be president." Mayoi said.
"True, we need to at least assign a competitor to win the election, so that he did not ruin our work next year." Chisato said.
"The only thing you care about is your ideals huh?" Shinosuke said.
"So that students will be able to live their school life comfortably." Chisato smiled.
"..." Mayoi remains silent as she listens to Chisato.
"Yukimura-san, is something the matter?" Shinosuke asked.
"After graduation, the two of you will move on, I have nowhere to go..." Mayoi said.
"... No matter we are together or not, we'll make sure you still exist, no matter what happens, ok?" Shinosuke said.
"Apparently, all we did is to include your name in the registers and class list. So that your name is there." Chisato said.
"Which means someone must have seen your name and remembers it." Shinosuke said.
"You two... Thank you..." Mayoi broke down in tears. The three of them then continued their discussion till night.
"Let's go to the bathroom, Mayoi-chan." Chisato said.
"Alright." Mayoi followed.
"... Need to find someone worthy of succeeding us..." Shinosuke thought, he listed down some names and slowly dozed off.
"We're back!" Chisato returned to the room, only to find a sleeping Shinosuke.
"This guy... He always work so hard for others... What's this?" Chisato saw the list of names Shinosuke wrote.
"Not bad... In face these people would form a good student council crew together. We just have to lead them in." Chisato schemed.
"Are you sure they are going to follow?" Mayoi suddenly appeared.
"Who knows, if they were willing, that'll be great." Chisato said.
"I'll do some preparation work once we are at school." Mayoi said.
"Well, we should go home now. Shimamura-kun, we're leaving." Chisato called the sleeping Shinosuke.
"O-oh! Since when I fell asleep?!" Shinosuke woke up surprised.
"Good work on coming up with the names, we'll have further discussion on Monday, so we shall meet at school later." Chisato walked out of the room.
"The time... Wait! President, the time..." Shinosuke apparently knows about the crossroad abnormalities.
"Oh that, we'll be fine." Chisato brushed off his warnings and headed out of the house.
"... See you on Monday, Shinosuke-kun." Mayoi bowed and followed Chisato.
"Now I've thought about it, I'll walk you both to the station." Shinosuke said.
"I appreciate your kindness, but no. We'll be fine." Mayoi assured.
"... I see... Please be careful." Shinosuke said. Mayoi smiled and followed Chisato. Shinosuke sees them off to the distance before heading back to his house.
"It's such a long time since I haven't walked outside in night." Chisato said.
"Aren't you afraid of what happened to you long time ago?" Mayoi asked.
"Yeah... Although I'm not Mayoi anymore, I'm still scared." Chisato said.
"We had an agreement, Yukimura-san." Mayoi said.
"Back to old times aren't we?" Chisato said.
"I let you have a normal high school life, and you will dispel the curse on us." Mayoi said.
"Curse huh..." Chisato started thinking.
"Now that I think about it, I don't think of it as a curse anymore." Chisato said.
"What did you just said?" Mayoi asked.
"Hahaha... Our identity reversed on that day, before the election." Chisato said.
"Then... We met Shimamura-kun." Chisato added.
"Did you mean that you like him too?" Mayoi asked.
"Because you liked him. You know? What I feel resonates with you." Chisato said.
"T-This is absurd!" Mayoi is surprised. Knowing that, Chisato closed in and caressed Mayoi's face.
"Worry not, there is one last thing I want to experience before returning this body to you." Chisato said. While she said it with a gentle expression, Mayoi could sense greed in her words.
"I see..." Mayoi replied.
"What did you want to experience then?" Mayoi asked.
"Love." Chisato said.
"... I see... I'll help as much as I can." Mayoi said.
"That's my girl, well, I'm very past my curfew, gonna run!" Chisato said.
"... My legs aren't as good as yours..." Mayoi said as she followed.
A god floats around in the air, watching over the two girls on their way back.
"It'll be over soon, the blessing shall be bestowed upon you... Amanogawa Chisato..." The rain goddess, Ame whispered.
