Mingyu found you laying on the floor unconscious.
When you were distracted, Jungkook somehow managed to steal one of those injections you were carrying with you inside your purse.
He just waited for the moment when you would have your guard down to plan his escape. And that moment was the perfect one. Being inside the doctor's office, he easily could jump out the window. The room was on the first floor and the window faced towards the street. No guards were guarding that zone so it was simple for Jungkook to escape.
You felt terrible.
When you came to your senses, when you realized the truth behind his actions, you instantly started to cry.
You felt used.
You felt tricked.
You were disappointed.
You didn't fully trust that evil playboy. But you trusted in Jungkook and that little bond you thought that formed between the two of you.
But it seemed that this time you were mistaken. After all, he was the one who actually hurt you. That bad boy who you thought that deep inside was, in fact, a sweet boy, and scared as well.
Mingyu took your weak form in his arms and placed it onto the couch, his eyes saddened at the sight in front of him. He could see how shaken and destroyed you were in those moments.
You wanted to help him.
You didn't regret releasing him. Every time seeing him in that state, handcuffed, lost, you couldn't take it anymore. So yes, you wanted to take him away from there. You wanted to take care of him and help him become normal in your own way.
But the way he pushed you against the cold wall. The way he stuck that syringe into your neck without any hesitation. The way his cold, empty eyes were looking back at you. You couldn't forget. And it hurt.
Then his last words before you lost your conscious..... his last words in your ear made your chest tighten. Wiping your tears away from your cheeks with your trembling hands was a useless thing to do. You couldn't stop other tears from taking place of those which were removed seconds ago.
"I will never trust someone like you. Such a stupid and weak little girl."
"Fuck you."
Mingyu caressed your head gently.
Leaving you alone with Jungkook, he was fully conscious of the risks involved. But he still did it. And not only that. He actually wanted Jungkook to escape and thus he gambled on your feelings towards the boy.
Mingyu saw through you. He knew that it will be a matter of time until you will help Jungkook get out from here. Why did he do that? It was because no matter how much Mingyu tried to hypnotize Jungkook, it was of no use. Jungkook's mind was split in two. The gap he had in his brain could be found inside the other one. But that dark side of his was always running away. And he had no chance of putting his hands on that one. He was playing with him since the first day. Mingyu didn't even know if that side of his remembered everything regarding the murder of his family. Maybe only the part in which his father abusing him was fresh in his mind like it happened yesterday. Maybe that's why he had those nightmares as you told him.
Mingyu couldn't do anything more. As well he couldn't risk injecting him the new serum. If something will go wrong, then Jungkook's brain could get more damaged without any chance of turning back. And he couldn't take any risks anymore.
This place wasn't for Jungkook. He talked with Jin, with the authorities, with everyone he had to talk about Jungkook's condition, and no one gave a shit. Mingyu didn't know what to do more. The prison wasn't the answer.
He was just a child when he was brought there as he was considered a danger for society.
He was drugged when they found him with the knife full of blood in his hands. He was beaten repeatedly. Even if he killed his parents, his sister, he wasn't conscious of his actions. So... It wasn't right what they were doing to him.
Six years he tried. Six years of testing and examining him. Six years giving him pills, drugs and everything that was needed. But in vain. Jungkook's condition worsened. And the people around here had a bad effect on him as well. Jungkook, in Mingyu's opinion, needed someone who could understand him, who could help him, someone with lots of patience and who wouldn't become obsessed to fuck him first. Like it happened every time.
From the first moment Mingyu saw you, he liked you, and he thought that you were the one to whom he could finally give his trust. Someone with a strong mentality and trustworthy. That's why he let Jungkook in your hands. Knowing Jungkook so well, Mingyu hoped that he will come to like you, even more. And, why not? After all, love could heal someone and help him fight and get out of his darkness.
But everything went in the wrong direction. After all, Jungkook escaped.... but he didn't take you with him as he expected.
Why did he use you? Because he couldn't help Jungkook escape from there.
Because everyone would know why he did it and how to find him.
Because after all... Jungkook was his nephew. And he will never forgive what his brother did to his own son.
Or forgive himself for not being there for Jungkook when he needed it the most.

After that serum Jungkook injected in your blood lessened its effect and you could walk again on your own feet, you left the prison and went to your house. Mentally you were at your limits. What happened on that day was too much and you needed to just sleep and forget everything.
You wanted... No... Needed to just stop thinking about him and where he was in this cold night.
_
It was night, around 2 in the morning and Jungkook was sitting on a bench somewhere on a dark alley, his head leaning against the back of the bench, his eyes closed.
It was cold. Only in a shirt and a pair of sweatpants, a cold shock hit him like lightning. Jungkook had forgotten how outside was. Opening his eyes and looking toward the sky he asked himself if it was autumn or spring. He had no idea.
Maybe spring though, he thought for himself.
"Hey, are you ok? Need some help or anything? "
Jungkook quickly jerked his head up startled, then he felt relieved seeing an old woman with a big hat on her head smiling warmly at him, her dog she was carrying in her arms, barking annoyingly his way.
He wanted to kill the dog.
Jungkook just shook his head, a small smile frozen on his lips as he watched the old lady now walking past him heading towards a building where she probably lived.
Jungkook let out a sigh of relief, then laying on the bench his mind became full with you the moment his eyes closed.
"I will never trust someone like you. Such a stupid and weak little girl.
Fuck you."
It wasn't what he felt though. Of course, he never thought about you in that way. He hated you for a moment, it was true.
When he woke up in the hospital, with your arms around him, he panicked. It was confusing. He couldn't understand why he felt disgust, fear. He couldn't understand his own body and why he reacted in such a way. Deep inside him, he knew that you didn't want to hurt him in any way. But his body was reacting completely different from the way he really felt. Just like in that moment, when you released him.
Again he was scared. He wanted to run away. Far away from everyone, like he always wanted to for some time now. Having that opportunity, his only chance in six years, he didn't know how to react, so his body took control over his mind. It was like a defense mechanism. He hurt you and it was something he regretted. The only thing in his mind was to escape from those people who were always making his life hell. When he surrendered six years ago, he trusted them with all his heart that they will find a solution and somehow everything will become normal. His mind... His life... He just wanted to be normal.
But it wasn't quite like he expected it to be. No. Everyone was looking at him like he was a monster, a freak who didn't deserve anything. Who didn't deserve even to breathe the same air as them. That's why he tried to take his life away. To not feel despair and loneliness anymore. That was one of the reasons though.
Lifting his hand above his head, his fingers tightened against your identification card he picked from your purse.
I would take you to my house.
Jungkook smiled sadly at that thought. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know if he should trust you or not.
He was always bad when it comes to people. He forgot how it was to trust in someone. To have faith... To breathe without feeling your chest tight every time. To want to live in a world without everyone hating you.

You were sleeping in your bed.
You finally managed to fall asleep with your cheeks still wet after all that crying.
It was dark in your room, the window open. It was almost as you hoped in your heart for him to come to you.
And he came.
Jungkook placed himself on the edge of your bed carefully so as to not wake you up. His eyes got used with the dark that embraced your room, and now he could see your features.
Lifting his hand, he hesitantly reached your face and brushed his fingers against your wet cheek, wiping away a lost tear.
Jungkook smiled a little at your cuteness, his fingers now resting on your lips, gently caressing your lip piercing. Then he leaned in and touched the corner of your mouth with his lips.
His heart was racing. His eyes darkened as he was analyzing every inch of your face.
And again it was hard for him to breathe because of you.
"Jungkook? "
Your sweet voice made his heart stop. If it was even possible. A second ago it was pounding so fast, ready to jump any time out of his chest.
He couldn't say anything. Swallowing hard he tried to stop his body from trembling but it was hard to do so.
"Who are you? " You whispered as you reached out gently and touched his cheek with your fingertips.
Sitting up with your heart pounding against your chest, you brought him closer to you. You knew for sure that the one in front of you was Jungkook. Of course, you knew even his shadow. How many times have you seen him in his dark cell? But you wanted to know which one of them it was.
And as soon as his fragrance reached your senses, you knew. And your heart started to race even faster.
Chocolate.
