(the lead character it will be y/N and that means (your name) as is a fanfiction. I see that some people here have a problem with this. if it's bothering you then don't read. thank you all ❤)
The first time I met him, Naeun was showing me the prison, to get used and not lose myself in it.
It was huge, cold and terrifying.
I hated closed and dark places.
Only imagining myself lost in a place like that gave me chills.
I heard screams coming from the cells as soon as they saw us walking through the corridor, the click of our heels echoed with the acoustic of the prison walls. And I tried to make as little noise as possible. I was paralyzed in fear. I knew what kind of people were trapped in there.
Rapists.
Killers.
People with mental problems.
There were so many.
Most of them were whistling, obscene words hurting my ears.
I couldn't look their way. I didn't even have the guts. My body was violently shaking, my heart was beating so fast I thought I might crack a rib.
I knew that once I look their way, they wouldn't stop at only obscene words, my innocent eyes would have become without any doubts not innocent anymore.
If I wouldn't have remembered what the heck I was doing there, in the next second I would have run the fuck out of the door and never looked back.
But they paid me a lot of money. I needed money so here I was having to endure this hell.
"You will get used to it and become immune. Trust me."
Naeun patted my back in consolation before grabbing my arm and pulling me after her.
"What is that for? " I asked in a low voice, my eyes stuck on the syringe she was holding all this time.
"This is for our special prisoner. And the one who you will take care of from now on." She winked at me the moment my head shot up, my lips parted in awe seeing her actually enjoying herself.
"Why? What do you mean by special?" I asked, my breathing shaky as I tried to, somehow, stop my hands from trembling by wiping them flat on my black over knee skirt.
She turned her head in my direction as we were heading towards an cell which was placed on the other side of the corridor. It was isolated from the rest of the prisoners.
She threw me a weird look, eyebrow raised, seeing me walking beside her a little behind. She was trying to figure out, I supposed, if I will eventually run away.
I threw a small smile in her direction and it took all my efforts doing so. I was already exhausted and it had been only 10 minutes in that spooky place.
"We don't know. No one had told us anything about why he is here. The only thing we know is that he came here by himself 6 years ago and that he will become dangerous if we stop injecting him this thing. So, all we have to do is keep him under drugs. His brain is damaged. "
If his brain is damaged? Then why giving him drugs?
She didn't say anything more because we already arrived in front of the cell, all her attention moving towards it, just like mine.
And then everything around me stopped.
When I saw him.
He was so young.
He was sitting there on a bed, the light barely touching his features as he was looking down on the floor, lost.
But it's impossible. Are you telling me that he was here since he was just a child? How dangerous a child could be?
"Jungkook... It's time for your medicine." Naeun said. Then she added, "Come here."
I looked towards her dumbfounded.
She will not open the door?
Then when my gaze searched for the boy again, my heart jumped in my throat seeing him already standing behind the bars, such dark, cold and empty eyes staring my way, straight into my soul.
He was so beautiful and he seemed so innocent and defenseless. I had the sudden urge to protect him, but at the same time, I was terrified.
Why was he there?
How was it even possible for a child to come here all by himself wanting to be locked in such a place?
Where was his family? His parents?
Naeun prepared the injection and under my wide eyes and parted lips, the boy tilted his head to the side before she injected the serum into his neck. All this time our eyes were still locked like we wanted to search into each other's souls.
I wondered if he felt anything.
He seemed more like a puppet.
His expression was unreadable even if he had a needle stuck in his neck. He wasn't even blinking. Then his eyes lost their light and now emptiness was all I could see in them.
"Well done Kookie. Such a good boy you are." Naeun praised him as she removed the syringe, her hand suddenly stroking his head gently, then running her fingers through his brown ravishing hair.
"Now look here. She is Y/N. She will take care of you from now on. You remember what happened with the last girl who took care of you, right?
We had to bring someone else to take her place. "
At that, my eyebrows raised suspiciously. I never heard anything about that. What girl? What happened?
He did something to her?
My body involuntary shivered at that thought. I had to admit it.
I was scared. I was terrified. I wanted to go home and lock myself in my room where I felt safe.
Then Naeun took my hand and placed a key in my palm.
"This is the key for this cell. But, you cannot enter, only when you will have to clean up the cell or change him. But to do so, you have to let one of the guards know first. Because Jungkook will have to be restrained with chains.
Don't forget that Y/N."
