"Hurry up Fay!" called Calvin. While trying to keep up with her big brother, Fay couldn't help stop thinking about the squabber (a nickname for the zombies given by Fay and Calvin) who was stuck under a flipped car that they'd just passed by while looting some buildings. She was annoyed that she froze up, this had been her third time at freezing up when facing a squabber this week. It wasn't her fault that she was scared and confused by the creature, she had grow up her whole life in the safety of not having to deal with monsters and stuff like is!
If you had told Fay about these creatures half a year ago, she would tell you that this was merely just a made-up story as would other normal people say!
Finally Calvin and Fay made their way back to camp, which was a treehouse located on top of a hill and surrounded by the nearby forest trees. "Next time please hurry up, you could have gotten bitten." grumbled Calvin, Fay nodded and quickly went to start the fire so as to escape her brother's foreseen lecture which she had heard a million times!
At dinner, it was as usual with Fay asking Calvin a million questions that he doesn't answer half of the time, Calvin adored his little sister who was 10 years younger than him, it is only him and her against this horrible apocalyptic world and he would do anything for his sister to have the happy life she deserved.
Calvin was a tall 24 year old male with brown eyes, fair skin and long black curly hair, he was intelligent, weird and a little mysterious sometimes. At first glance some people would say that he looked rude, arrogant and capricious in his big leather jacket but once you get to know him, he has a pretty smart, funny and weird personality. Fay, on the other hand, is a average 14 year old female with brown eyes, fair skin and medium dark brown hair. She has a bubbly, positive and very energetic personality, Fay is smart and sometime a little too mischievous and adventurous!
That night, Fay lay in her sleeping bag thinking about her birthday that was coming soon and what they would do to celebrate, she thought highly of birthdays and celebrations even during these times and would never miss out on an opportunity to have fun! Would Calvin even remember her birthday? If he did, what would he get her? Should she have a party? Question after question she asked herself until she drifted off to sleep.
As Fay slept peacefully, Calvin was in his office walking back and forth, sometimes taking long glances at the moon. There was a problem,it seemed that the squabbers had grown in numbers since the last time he checked and it was getting more dangerous for Fay and him. All night Calvin's mind was full, it was his job to protect Fay and this was only one of his problems!
