Knock. Knock.
Lan Ni Ni beautiful face peek through the open door. Her brows frown as she watch the young girl inside the room causing the usually neat room into a mess. A few days have passed after the two have a small argument, and now of course they are back to the inseparable duo.
"Oh. Ma, you returned. How was your meeting?" Luo Jing ask loudly, as she is currently busy looking for something inside her dressing room so she need to shout a bit for her mother to hear.
Lan Ni Ni walk into the room and start picking up clothes on the floor before brining it towards the bed, which is also in not a better condition then the floor just now.
"Its just the same like last week, we drink coffee, order new desserts, we discuss on the activities and throw money at the treasurer to spend. Luckily this time the suggestion is more reasonable, you know how our leader Madam Ning always had the most unexpected ideas." Lan Ni Ni said. She is complaining to her daughter just like how she is talking to her best friend.
Luo Jing laugh can be heard before she came out of the wardrobe with a handful of clothes and shoes in her hands.
"I remember Madam Ning. She is very enthusiastic though last time when you all were supporting the foundation. She even hug the small children last time I saw her on the news." Luo Jing add the bunch of clothes on the bed before carefully choosing her favourites and putting it aside. For the unwanted clothes, she throw it at a further end of the bed.
She is used to talking with Lan Ni Ni like this and since Lan Ni Ni is always managing her foundation and directly contacting with the high management of the foundation, she knows a little bit about these ladies in Lan Ni Ni circle.
There is the leader Madam Ning, the treasurer Madam Pan, the beautiful Madam Rose Kuo and her mother close friend Madam Sun. These are the names that always makes appearance in Lan Ni Ni stories. There are a bit more than 10 in their circle but these people are the one she know about.
"Of course she will do everything in front of the press. She even went for facial treatment a week before just to prepare for that day. That foundation group of yours have quite a big reputation, that is why the ladies easily agree to do more fundraising and do some real works. See if there is no media involved, then at most they will just throw money and leave the rest of the work to the workers. Say, should I just quit?" Lan Ni Ni came to a conclusion.
She have been thinking about this lately, since the twins need more attention too, it is better if she quits. She only like Madam Sun in there, the other, she doesn't have that much attachment. She and Madam Sun can just find other club.
"No. Ma, its normal for them to be lazy a bit. But if you quit, what if they stop throwing money, just bear with it, as long as a lot of people benefit. In your small club, only you and a few have sane mind to remind them, what will happen if you quit the club? See, the orphanage under your club, they still benefit a lot from the charity money. Those madam can be fussy, but they are not entirely heartless. Maybe just a little bit insensible." Luo Jing laugh. Lan Ni Ni nod in agreement. As expected of Luo Jing, she can even find diamonds in the rough. Fine, she will just bear with it for now.
"En. You have grown up, your thinking is much more relevant." Lan Ni Ni pat Luo Jing hair.
"En, I learned a few more good thing now. Or, Ma, you can directly go and fight with Madam Ning. Many will surely support you." Luo Jing grinned proudly.
"Silly child, we are too old to fight. Say, where are you going again with this much mess?"
"Huh? I didn't tell you? I am going to Maldives with Long Yi Fan. There is a resort opening this weekend. A few of my friends will be there too, and coincidentally I need to meet them for my future planning." Luo Jing raised her brow while a smile formed on her face. She is obviously planning something.
Lan Ni Ni knows Long Yi Fan, he is Luo Jing boyfriend. And she also heard about this man, how he is a player. But, the one that she is worried about is not Luo jing but this poor child, he may be heartbroken like the previous one too.
"Why? You want to change career again? What type of friend is it?" Lan Ni Ni ask.
"Ma, you are like a fortune teller. I am planning to change my career. Some bunch of our country celebrities like Zi Yu, Shu Xi, Han Geng, Yuan Rong and Alan Mo ah. Don't worry, they don't do drugs. I have been friends with them for years now, we usually met overseas since the reporter here follows them everywhere" Luo Jing said.
"I know them. Some of the ladies even talked about that male actor Han Geng. Do you want me to talk to your dad, being a celebrity is not that bad. As long as your friend is not into bad things." Lan Ni Ni said.
She is actually very supportive on what Luo Jing wants. Luo Jing is not an ordinary child, she learns a lot of things when she was young, and she is good at a lot of things she is interested in. So, this time Luo Jing want to be an celebrity it seems, she can easily guess that she will do really well.
"Yup, he is the one who win last year's best male actor awards. If he is a bit more good looking than Long Yi Fan, I would have go out with him. Ma, what do you say? I can annoy those old ladies too." Luo Jing chuckles.
Pa! A soft slap land on Luo Jing right arm.
"Mischievous child! Watch at your words, how can things like that be a plaything. Even if this Long young master used to be a playboy, I still feel bad a bit. Just look at your previous boyfriends, how many have run here crying for you. Luckily they are scared of your dad, if not our house won't be this quiet. Don't make more problem, what if those ladies come knocking our door after you broke that Han Geng heart?" Lan Ni Ni seriously said. Who knows, it may really happen.
Even some of those rich and influential exes of Luo Jing try to involve their rich father and drag Luo Zhan into those matter, pretend to match up their children together. How can that old man Luo Zhan still keep his cool when those people try to bribe him for her daughter? He immediately cancel all agreements and relations with those company.
"Ma, I was just joking." Luo Jing look at her mother as if she is treated unfairly. Lan Ni Ni ignored her and continue tidying up the mess.
"I will be staying there for the weekend, maybe returning on Sunday or Monday." Luo Jing add.
"Got it. That Long Yi Fan, if he dare do anything bad, don't hesitate to call us. Their family may be influential, but your dad is still capable of protecting you." Lan Ni Ni remind her.
"En, know it. I won't cause trouble, don't worry. Ma, what do you think, which is better, one piece or two piece?" Luo Jing show two pair of swimsuits. The two piece are in red colour while the one piece is white with and open back.
Lan Ni Ni look at Luo Jing as she narrow her eyes. No matter what she wears, she will look pretty though. Swimsuit tends to be revealing, so she didn't say anything.
"Aiyaa, as if you never wear it when you are young. I saw it, picture of you and dad." Luo Jing counterattacks.
"You..."
"Hurm, that one piece is enough for you. Don't be too provocative." Lan Ni Ni said.
Luo Jing giggled. She immediately take the one piece swimsuit and put it into her luggage. Then, the next moment, she ask again. What dress to wear? What shoes goes with it? What accessories? She ask until she finish packing.
The resort they are coming is the best in the world who was owned by a local businessman who extend their business overseas. There are not much detail since things like that are confidential, so, this friend of Long Yi Fan is not just anyone and not just the ordinary rich type ah. This is the second branch of the resort and they have a branch in Dubai, where the most expensive city is. Its not that they cannot expand, but that resort is so exclusive that not just anyone can enter, only the richest around the world can afford to stay there.
The resort in Dubai have a very great reputation since the royalties like to held weddings there and some of the biggest celebrities in the world always share it to their social media when they were staying there. The opening of the new branch in Maldives is know around the world and many people wants to attend the opening.
Long Yi Fan family is one of the richest in the country, so, its possible that they have connections to be invited. And her celebrities friend, they are actors who are known internationally, so their presence is of course a must. They will indirectly increase the reputation of that resort with their attendance.
Luo Jing never used her name or her father's name when it comes to privilege like this. Of course, she joined a lot of private social events like this, but mostly are in her circle, and this time she made up with Long Yi Fan in addition to her friends will be present there, so, she naturally will come.
Actually the main reason is that she cannot wait to start something new. She have been doing this career as a painter for a few years now and she is tired with it.
To be honest, her job now is not the least boring and she found it enjoyable and calming at the same time.
