So dark. Everything was dark.
'Where am I? Why is it so dark? W-what? I can't move.. My body feels so heavy..' she sighed inwardly as she struggled. She had a lot of questions in mind but kept it inside in the end.
She kept on looking around to find any clues. Amidst searching, she heard a man's voice.
His voice was husky and deep and it contained mixed emotions. "Yue'er I'm sorry..I came late...don't leave me alone..I'm sorry...I was a coward..."
She tried to open her eyes and fortunately but barely made it. Her eyes felt so heavy and there were tears forming in the corner of it.
When Madam Jiang saw her daughter's eyes opening, her eyes were brimming with hope.
Jiang Yue opened her eyes seeing a white ceiling similar to her former room. In the room, she saw a beautiful woman in her mid 20s. She was pale which made her look sick and her face carried a worried expression.
The beautiful woman asked, "Are you okay? Do you feel sick? Wait, let mommy call the doctor."
Jiang Yue held the edge of the woman's dress to stop her from doing anything. There were tears forming in her eyes. Then, it started running down her cheeks and to the floor. There was a disbelief expression on her face while looking at the woman in front of her.
Jiang Yue thought inside, 'Why is mom still alive..? Was I rebirth like in those novels..?' She was really grateful that god had given her a second chance to correct her mistakes. (info: *Jiang Yue likes to read rebirth/reincarnation too lol)
After a while, the woman snapped Jiang Yue out of her own space and said tenderly, "Honey, are you okay? Why are you crying? Where does it hurt?"
The woman was Madam Jiang. She was Jiang Yue's birth mother. She was 35 years old at that moment. Although she was 35 years old, she looked like she was in her late 20s. She was as beautiful as Jiang Yue and their faces were really identical. She's just like an older version of her daughter.
If we're talking about background, Madam Jiang also came from a wealthy family. She married Jiang Yue's father at the young age of 18 and then gave birth to Jiang Yue early. They at first met through an arranged marriage but then fell in love. The saying, 'as time passed by, love blossomed' and it showed.
(A/N* Well, I don't know if you guys had heard that saying. I'm not too sure either of the exact and precise words but anyways the meaning is more or less similar to that.)
Jiang Yue hugged Madam Jiang tightly and shook her head, "I'm alright, mommy. I missed you so much.." Her tears were still streaming down her cheeks without having any intention to stop.
Madam Jiang felt touched hearing her statement. "Hm..mommy missed you too."
If anyone could see that beautiful scene of them at the moment, they would say that they had seen a pair of angels.
Speaking of, in her previous life, she didn't like her mother much because Madam Jiang was always worried. Sadly, she took it for granted. She had always thought that her mother was bothering her as her half-sister, Jiang Mei used to input vicious things about her mother into her mind. Jiang Yue felt incredibly guilty towards her mother and blamed herself for trusting Jiang Mei.
(A/N* I promise I'll make the next chapter longer lol)
