"Stop looking at my stomach like that! I'm not pregnant okay?" I say with irritation. Alec quickly looks up and says "Sorry... it's just hard... just thinking about the possibility is..." I pick up my hand and say "Don't say anymore..."
I turn away and freeze when I see Chip running over. "Maya! You've got to come see what we've been working on underground!" I give him a large smile and nod my head but Alec quickly grabs my arm and says "Maya needs to stay home and rest..."
Chip looks to Alec and frowns as I sigh "For the last time, I'm fine!" I say pulling my arm away from him. Alec looks conflicted as he says "Right but Dr. Williams said you shouldn't do anything strenuous for the next week or so."
I narrow my eyes at him and Chip says "Why? Maya's completely healthy and I just want to show her something..." I smirk at Alec and shift away. I call Chip to me and he quickly leads me to the entrance underground.
