I watch her sleeping with a peaceful heart. I gently trace the bridge of her nose before lightly touching her soft lips. I never grow tired of them... I look down at the chain around her neck with anger.
I want to rip the damn thing off her but I can't... nothing we do seems to work. I've always felt like she was able to hold her own in most situations but now... I'm terrified of letting her out of my sight. She's been different since we've been back... I honestly think it has something to do with losing her powers but I'm not certain.
I cover her up and gently kiss her before quickly getting dressed and heading over to the office. Once I shift in, Nero and the others stand to greet me. "Did you find anything?" I ask in a cold voice.
