I want to yell at him, spit at him or claw his eyes out but I'm struggling just to keep my eyes open. He leans down to scoop me up and my heart drops. I blink once but it's a struggle to open my eyes again.
When I hear another war cry I open my eyes to see Dr. Evens running at Remi while screaming "Don't touch her!!!" I want to scream at him to stop, to run away and to never look back but nothing comes out.
Remi quickly turns around and lifts his free hand covered in his purple powers. A hole the size of a baseball is left in Dr. Evens's chest! He stumbles and falls to his knees with a look of pain etched on his face. I want to scream out, to save him but I remain a prisoner of my own body. Dr. Evens lifts a shaky hand to his bloody chest before falling face first.
