I shake my head as I try to stay above the water. "I kinda just used most of it with my fancy firework show back there... did those assholes dump me in the middle of an ocean?" Leo frowns and says "Yes, they were pissed... can you swim? I can only stay here for another hour... after that, I will be pulled back down."
"I can swim if I have to but I should be fine after resting for a bit... you'll be pulled back down? What does that mean?" I ask while floating. "It means this is the last time we get to spend time together... Once they pull me back... that'll be it."
I frown and ask "Why can't you just stay here?" Leo gives me a rare smile as he says "I've told you before, the living and the dead can't coexist." My frown grows as I start to realize this will be the last time I see him. "Thank you for saving me..." I say in a soft voice.
