Alec walks in and stops next to me. He looks at me then back to the egg before turning back to me saying "You didn't know and you didn't do it on purpose. There was no way for us to know what or why it came busting in like that." I slightly nod my head but I still feel absolutely horrible.
"This... this egg doesn't smell anything like that thing," Chip says looking at me with confusion. I frown and say "Are you sure? Babies and adults smell different." Chip's face drops as he says "It's an entirely different species. I'm sure." I suddenly don't feel as bad but I find myself even more confused.
