Alisha was over the moon about what had happened with Cooper. She couldn't believe it at all. It still felt like a dream. Now she was preparing for the dance that was going to happen tomorrow night. She and some of her friends were at the mall picking out new dresses.
"Do you think this one is too sparkly?" She asked them.
"No such thing," they replied, with a laugh.
Cooper had no idea why he'd said what he did. He'd definitely knew that Alisha had a crush on him, and maybe he was starting to feel a little something for her too, but it still felt strange. His phone dinged and he looked down to see a text from Alisha asking him what he was going to be wearing to the dance. He went to his closet and started to pick through the clothes he had.
"Do you thing a flannel and jeans is formal enough?" He texted back.
"No," She replied.
He went back to his closet and traded the jeans for more formal pants.
Marie already knew what she was going to wear to the dance. It was the same dress she wore to every dance or formal event she'd been to before. It was a long sleeve sweater dress that was just baggy enough to not seem weird but didn't show any impression of her wings either. Even if her wings did end up showing an outline her hair would cover it up. It was pretty long and went halfway down her waist. Sometimes she would let it fall in front of her face and encase her. She hoped that there wouldn't be very many bright lights at the dance.
