Chapter 1 - Episode 1. Neon Solitude

Eva found herself beneath the neon-lit city sky, engulfed in a sea of solitude. ..

The bustling streets below whispered secrets, but none could breach the walls of her isolation.

After returning from college, she longed to reconnect with her parents, only to be thwarted by their incessant work schedules.

Their absence carved a chasm within her, a void she yearned to fill.

Desperate to escape the suffocating silence of her apartment.

she contemplated buying a flashy new TV.

However, upon crossing the threshold,

chaos greeted her like an unwelcome guest. The place was a mess, as if time had forgotten to tidy up after itself.

Her new digs weren't any better, with barren shelves, a grimy floor, and a bathroom in desperate need of a clean. How had her life spiraled into such disarray?

Frustration gnawed at her as she dialed her parents' numbers repeatedly, only to be met with silence.

Suddenly, the house owner, a stern figure with a face weathered by years of hardship, materialized before her, his presence casting a shadow over her already troubled mind.

"You need to leave. Now." Confused, Eva asked, "What? Why?" The owner replied curtly, "No explanations. We don't got any rent so... Just go."

Shaken and bewildered, Eva found herself perched on a nearby bench, abandoned and adrift.

As the owner locked the door behind her, plunging her into darkness, Eva wandered aimlessly to a nearby park, the chill of the night air biting at her skin.

She reached a familiar bridge and gazed up at the skyline, the stars twinkling like distant promises.

Footsteps approached, and a tall figure emerged from the shadows, his piercing blue eyes betraying no emotion.

"Leave," he commanded, his tone as cold as the night air. Confused and anxious, Eva obeyed without protest, her mind reeling from the enigmatic encounter. Turning to leave, she hesitated, a strange pull keeping her rooted in place.

Glancing back, she found him still standing there, his gaze fixed on the horizon.

With a heavy heart, she stepped away, her phone buzzing with a message from her best friend, Lily.Reading Lily's words, a wave of emotion washed over Eva, and she couldn't hold back the tears any longer.

Lily was her rock, her anchor in times of turmoil. Without hesitation, she called Lily and poured out her heart, recounting the events of the evening.

"I just don't know what to do anymore. Everything feels like it's falling apart," Eva choked out between sobs.

Lily's tone was gentle yet determined as she responded, "I understand, Eva. Wait right there; I'm coming to pick you up."

Moments later, her car pulled up beside Eva, and she gratefully climbed inside, feeling a sense of relief wash over her as Lily enveloped her in a comforting embrace.

"Thank you, Lily," she whispered, her voice trembling with gratitude.

Lily squeezed her hand reassuringly. "Anytime, Eva. We'll figure this out together."

Max watched from a distance as Eva slipped into Lily's car, a heavy weight settling in his chest amidst the quiet of the night.

The city buzzed with distant sounds, the moon casting its glow upon the rippling river below, creating a mesmerizing dance of light and shadow. Lost in his thoughts.

Max realized he had lost track of time, his mind consumed by a whirlwind of emotions.

His phone pierced through the silence, Alex's urgent voice demanding his attention.

"Alex, what's going on?" Max's strained voice cut through the stillness, betraying his inner turmoil.

"Max, where the hell are you? I've been searching for you at the villa and the office. You're nowhere to be found!" Alex's frustration was evident, his words laced with concern.

"Lower your voice," Max replied, his tone clipped as he glanced around, aware of his surroundings.

"Max, I need to know where you are right now. It is not your fault. Please just tell me where you are, okay?" Alex's voice softened, pleading with Max to cooperate.

Taking a deep breath, Max finally relented, his voice barely above a whisper. "Near the bridge, not far from the villa."

"You better, Max," Alex warned sternly before ending the call.

As Max began to make his way back to his car, he noticed Tiger silently keeping pace a few steps behind him. Despite the tension in the air, Tiger remained vigilant and composed.

Another call from Alex interrupted the quiet, his tone now softer, guiding Max to their destination. "Max," Alex said, "Head to the ABDS Club."

Max remarked to Tiger, "Alex's voice is too loud," to which Tiger simply smiled and nodded in understanding.

With a nod of gratitude, Max set off toward the ABDS Club, the night unfolding before him like a labyrinth of secrets waiting to be unraveled.

Eva sat in the car with Lily, the silence between them heavy with unspoken words.

Tears welled up in Eva's eyes as she leaned into Lily's comforting embrace. As they walked.

Eva continued to dial her parents' numbers, hoping for a response. Each unanswered call deepened her sense of unease.

"They're not picking up," Eva said, her voice tinged with disappointment as she ended another call.

Lily squeezed Eva's hand gently. "It's okay, Eva. They're probably just busy. We'll try again later." Eva nodded, trying to push aside the nagging feeling of abandonment.

"I just wish they would answer. I need them right now."

"I know, Eva," Lily replied softly. "But you have me. And I'm not going anywhere." Eva managed a weak smile, grateful for Lily's unwavering support.

"Thank you, Lily. I don't know what I'd do without you." Lily returned the smile, her eyes filled with compassion. "You don't have to do anything alone, Eva."

As they stepped into Lily's home, Eva's disappointment lingered in the air.

"I just don't get it, Lily. Why won't they pick up?" Lily guided Eva to the couch, offering a comforting smile.

"I wish I knew, Eva. Let's take a moment to rest. But don't worry, they will..."

"Thanks, Lily," Eva said, sinking into the cushions. "You're the best." Lily patted Eva's shoulder. "Always here for you, Eva. Always."

Lily squeezed Eva's hand reassuringly. "We'll figure this out together.

You're not alone in this." Eva leaned back on the couch, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.

With Lily by her side, she knew she had someone she could rely on in times of need.
