Chapter 17 - Trust Issues

"I am sorry I didn't mean to touch you but are you really my fiancé" Aadvika asked him little stunned and unbelieving that it is him whom her parents searched for her

"Why is there any problem with me being your fiancé by the way I heard that you even refused to look at the picture of your fiancé which indicates that you are not interest in this marriage at all then why agreeing in the first place" he asked her maintaining distance between them as he looked at the girl in front of him with unknown emotions in his eyes

"I didn't mean to disrespect you but at that time I just felt like not seeing or wanted to know you the person was because of some unexpected events happening around me they told me so suddenly that I need some time to think about it and prepare myself mentally that I was going to be married to some unknown guy right"

"whatever may be the reasons but if you feel like not being in a relationship you might have made it clear with your parents and then they might have agreed with your decisions" he told her as if it is a matter of fact but for Aadvika she had no right to reject the deal presented by them as she made marriage as a trade for her freedom

"I didn't say that I don't like to be in this relationship you are assuming it all on your own just because I didn't agree to see you or meet you when told me" Aadvika tried to reason with him knowing very well that it is her mistake for dragging him in her meshed-up life

"and how should I believe that you want to be in this relationship because I already made a promise that I will marry the girl my grandfather chosen for me without saying a word and it is you he has chosen and I was willing to try to understand the girl who will my life partner for the rest of my life but funny side is that the said girl is not putting any investment in the relationship" Vihaan ruffled his hair clearly frustrated with this meshed up relationship even before it began

"I will do whatever you say for you to believe that I want to be in this relationship just as much as you are willing to" Aadvika told him despite knowing the consequences as all she wants at this movement was sometime so that she can spend some time for herself and when it comes to her marriage it is already decided by her parents so now even if she refuse her parents will force her using other methods to fulfill their promise made to his grandfather

"anything, you say" Vihaan asked her amused with her stand on this point but Aadvika simply nodded her head as she already viewed this issue from all sides and agreeing to marry him is the best option for her as that she can delay as much time as possible after this

"alright then we will leave to marriage bureau and get a marriage certificate then I will believe that you want to have equal dedication in this relationship" Vihaan said making Aadvika stunned for a second but then she saw him like he is crazy or out of his mind

"I am not crazy or out of my mind I am a businessman and I will never invest my time in something which might be a failure at the end and for your marriage may be a game that let me play for some time and once I get bored, I will divorce that person and chose someone with your upbringing and it might be quite common in the country you have grown" Aadvika tried to interrupt him but he continued

"but for us in this country marriage is a lifetime commitment towards the other half, they will be together till death separates them so it is very important to me, I hope you understand that" Vihaan told her

But this made Aadvika stunned that he was damn serious about this whole marriage thing and at the same she started to respect him for having such a wonderful views and respect for the relations and his loyal nature for his other half and for some reason this whole thing made Aadvika even more guilt as she was not ready for this whole thing called marriage as she had more important tasks to complete in her life

"as I said I am ready to do anything to make you believe in me but as you said I don't want our marriage to be happened in a register office but with all rituals and with the blessings of our elders but since you want me to remind myself that I was going to marry you and belong to you in the future" Aadvika took a deep breath as she continued

"I will change my surname to yours as every wife does after marriage but I will do it before our marriage, in every unofficial document which had no legal obligations as it will be rejected without the proof of our marriage, I will sign my name with yours to prove to you that I was serious in this relationship and also to remind myself every time that I was going to have someone in my life"

"hmm, it sounds better to me but remember this always Aadvika that I don't like to be lied or cheated and I hope you will remind this well while I will do the same, from now onwards I will not do anything that might lead to misunderstandings" Vihaan told her as he knows very well that he needs to do the same things which he expects from his other half

Aadvika gave him a little smile as she saw him left after that as she got immersed in her thoughts about all the things which they discussed
