In a faraway village of the north, the snow is piling up indicating the middle of winter. The villagers all huddle around a bonfire in celebration of a recent wedding, eating their saved meat from the summer with relish. They will have to save for the next 2 weeks for this day, but it's all worth a little bit of fun and booze on this happy day.
The bride and groom are in the chambers consummating their marriage happily. The others have finished their pranks and teasing and are already tired after a long night.
It's about time for cleaning up the lanterns and garlands. The women end up having to do the tiring task while the men go back in to sleep.
Some of the younger girls complain while packing up, and the older ones berate them harshly, but they still complain.
In the end, they can finish up in the twilight of the night. The women start heading in to rest. They still have to wake up early to prepare breakfast for when the men go hunting.
