The first thing Marguerite did when she woke up was to call for Edward.
The cat is now sitting in front of the sick Marguerite, she looks pale and tired. An immeasurable feeling of pain and worry engulfs him as he sits there still, listening to the words she keeps repeating in her subconsciousness.
"Edward..."
She mumbles his name with eyes closed, her breath gives out puffs of smoke and the hair strands on her forehead sticks to her skin due to the excessive perspiration.
"When are we... going home... Edward..."
Edward's heart clenches. Is it his fault that she is like this? Has she been that unhappy, unhappy to the point of sickness?
"I have called for a physician already. I'm sure it's nothing terrible."
One of the maids tries to reassure the crying Lola. Unfortunately, it doesn't work as intended.
"If it's nothing terrible, Then why is our miss crying!?"
Edward widens his eyes.
